Hi all,
Living in London and attending some matches this year, i know that CCFC scouts have been to AFC Wimbledon on more than one occasion this year.
I believe it's Jack Rudoni who is on their radar.
Plays behind the striker (similiar to COH) and has scored double figures this season, is Wimbledon's standout player and still only 20 years old (added to the fact they are likely to be relegated)
I see this as a likely transfer this summer, especially as scouts have been at games
Is that Tom Bayliss in disguise?
I hope he has! Two would be good.Could have some legs.
Jack Rudoni - sounds like a private eye
Exactly the type of player we should be targeting
How do you suppose that it’s Rudoni and not Assal or one of the many other young, talented players Wimbledon have in their ranks?
Didn’t West Ham once get relegated with carrick, Cole, lampard, Ferdinand? How are they about to be relegated to League 2 if they have so many young talented players?

They did and I think our ‘arry was managerDidn’t West Ham once get relegated with carrick, Cole, lampard, Ferdinand?
Nope…but I thought the point was young talented players = teams can’t get relegated? To League 2?

You might be right about lampard and Rio Ferdinand. So they only had Joe Cole, Michael Carrick, Anton Ferdinand, Jermaine Defoe? No, the point was that they are being relegated from a league below us to an even lower league. The comparison with that West Ham team is ridiculous and not therefore comparable, even more so given that Lampard & Ferdinand (Rio anyway) were not part of that relegated team anyway.
because individual natural technical ability and talent doesn’t necessarily translate to a well run team? How are they about to be relegated to League 2 if they have so many young talented players?
They have multiple internationals in their squad, but the downside with having a team primarily comprised of young talented players is the lack of experience of veteran players. AFC Wimbledon lack that balance. How are they about to be relegated to League 2 if they have so many young talented players?

Clubs like AFC Wimbledon and Crewe Alexandra also have much better youth development programs and facilities than some championship clubs even.Yes fair enough. I appreciate its not impossible that someone can come from a relegated club at a lower level and still make the step up, particularly youngsters. Thinking about it I guess Scott Twine was in a similar position playing for a relegated League 1 club this time last year, and there are plenty wishing we had signed him. On the other hand when we were relegated to League 2 our most promising youngster was probably Ben Stevenson so there is always some guesswork involved. The attraction for our owners would be that such signings would be relatively cheap so I'm sure Boddy and his team will be looking at a number of League 1 players.
