As frustrating as it is, probably keeps opposition managers on their toesGiven the current timeline and the fact that all our injuries seem to take 10x longer than we're told, probably never
I'm happy for us not to have a clue what's going on with the squad if it meant the opposition didn't know until an hour before KO.As frustrating as it is, probably keeps opposition managers on their toes
Anyone know how long till he's back?
Will he get in the team?
Kelly
Walsh
O'Hare
Allen
Shipley
Westbrooke
6 players for 3 places, nice problem to have I guess.
I think that with everyone fully fit a three of Kelly, Walsh and Allen could be very useful, with O'Hare playing further forwards (left wing instead of Hiwula maybe).
Of course this is based on not having seen Allen play for us, but he came here very highly rated and presumably to be a key player.
Was told on Saturday it was 6-8 weeks. As much as I don’t want to believe that’s true I trust who told me.
I agree he has had a good start to the season however when all of the midfielders are fit he won’t/shouldn’t be first choice. Play your best team.Think it would be very unfair to drop Shipley on current form.
Tuesday was probably his best performance of the season but he's been very good in general up to now despite what his detractors say.
My only problem with Shipley is his lack of concentration at times with shockingly bad passes straight to the opposition, he will battle and win the ball only to give it straight away if he could improve on that he will definitely be a reasonable player for us... having said that credit where it is due, he was superb on TuesdayThink it would be very unfair to drop Shipley on current form.

Me tooShipley believes he can play passes like the one for the first goal on Tuesday all the time and tries them, at times they look woeful but I would rather him keep trying them, essential for our goals. I think some of the others like Kelly and Westbrooke are happy to go sideways and then have the full backs push on from their pass.
There is a place for both but Shipley’s was sublime the other night.
Long may it continue and when did we last have the nice problem of midfield players coming back from injury and the challenge of who should start, it feels we have been underweight there for years.
Tricky injury to resolvesounds like a bad setback
Hopefully he's back in time for the open top bus parade

Be like a cracking January signing won't it when he's back... Lets be honest

TBF if they weren’t ours and we signed Jones Kelly and Allen in the Jan window we’d probably all be happy.
3 weeks then.Allen Hope's to be fit for the opening game of the new stadium.
Sick note
City through and through and always gives 100%, he's improving with every game!Always stuck by Shipley, I bet he’s first name on the team sheet. His two passes for our goals Tuesday were superb, put an immense shift in again and is going as strong in the last minute as he was the first, of course in a full game there will be stray passes, but when that happens he’s straight back in the mix attempting to retrieve the ball. Puts tackles in ain’t afraid to take bookings for the team, gem of a left foot and comes up with goals, he’s fast become an important member of our first choice team.
Captain material in my opinion.
Whilst I think highly of Shipley, some of the things you have stated are absolutely nonsense. 'Aint afraid to take bookings for the team' - a) since when is getting a booking something to be revered and b) if you do feel that is a quality, he has 7 bookings in 83 games. Hardly Lee Cattermole. To put that into perspective, Tom 'doesn't get stuck in enough' Bayliss had 9 in 68 games.Regarding Shipley:

Plus Robins himself said he tires in games so surely cant give the same at the end of a game ae the start.Whilst I think highly of Shipley, some of the things you have stated are absolutely nonsense. Shipley gives his all, is young, and will improve. But tackling and defensive contribution isn't exactly his forte.
