Lee Burge is 22 ffs! no kid. He should grasp this chance to nail down a first team spot. Les Sealey did it as a nineteen year old and whilst we were in the final matches of another relegation battle from the top flight. Either give him a proper chance or ditch him.

Perry Sucklimg was chucked in far younger than Sealey - did a job and made a career for himself.

@ covmark....From what I've heard from people, Jones actually liked being at Coventry, and Waggot could have lengthened his loan with us, but chose not too. @ Torchy....Leave me have a rant?.....Like you do every time CCC/ACL are mentioned you mean?

Not saying you're lying or that but care to expand on your sources?

It amazes me how many on here claim to have insider knowledge. I must be the only CCFC fan who doesn't know someone on he inside. Or rather claims to.

But on a serious note it looks like we were not paying much for this loan. Rochdale are a poor club even for this division.

Yet they don't correct people or explain, they just say others are wrong because they have insider knowledge.

It's not that much of a stretch. For example my Mrs knows Lee Burges Mrs and my mate used to be a physio for the academy.

Sounds like good potential for a double date. You could spend the evening tripping people up and diving the wrong way from things.

I have lost track. How many loan players do we have now - 5?

SW said the other day that he would seek to bring in new players for a new manager but they would need to be loans. If we can only play 5 in the match day squad and we have 5 already that means that any new loan player is taking a chance coming here aren't they?. The parent clubs see loans as a way of getting players games and if we have 5 already then unless you are a keeper there is a good chance of not playing. Equally what's the point of paying for another clubs player and not playing him?

I would have thought Jones was a no brainer if they do not trust in Burge. Clearly no deal was done to keep him, the lad wants to play. Sad that players would seem to prefer to go to clubs like Rochdale (with all due respect to them) than come to CCFC - that said they are almost safe in L1 and 8 points ahead of us

Or free agents.

trouble with free agents NW is that they are likely not to be with a club training and not match fit. Some loans might be that way too but likelihood is that they at least play in the "reserve" team. We need them to hit the ground running.

Do you think at the end of a game all players are wrapped in cotton wool, put into a big safety deposit box, and not brought out again till 2-45pm on a match day? Much to your, and probably others disappointment, although I live in the stunningly beautiful town of Caerphilly S.Wales. The majority of my family live and work in Coventry, and they, in turn, have friends and in-laws that live and work in Coventry, who in......Think you should have gotten my drift by now. people get to know people....Even Pro-Footballers, and have something that most people have...DIALOGUE with said individuals. I, myself haven't spoken to him, but some of my family and friends have spoken to him socially, and, guess what? they didn't need a key to open said big safety deposit box to engage in said dialogue between 5-00pm and 2-45pm the following Saturday either

What does knowing someone on the inside have to do with the price of chips? If I wanted to boast about knowing people, in sport and entertainment for instance I'd get called a liar by the vast majority on this forum. I don't need that s**t in my life. Believe what I have said...or don't believe what I have said..your choice. I've not claimed to know someone on the inside ffs. I've just been told by a family member, and friend what Jones had said to them thats all. Nothing more...nothing less.

Who ever called you a liar? You said you knew a famous double act and somebody jokingly said it was the chuckle brothers. It wasn't said you were a liar or nothing nasty towards you.

@ Nick...And basically being asked for proof, isn't being called a liar then? If I can't prove that the conversation happened, I'm being called a liar! Yes/No?

If somebody said "you are a liar" then you were called a liar. I actually don't think many would be fussed who your mates are, the same as I doubt you wouldn't care who mine were and i wouldn't expect you to.

It was just another example of somebody cracking a harmless Joke abd you flying off the handle no need to be so touchy.
