It was actually a choice between Tyler Walker and Matty Godden. The former (young, full of potential, tipped for the top) turned us down and we spent £750k on the bloke who couldn’t get in Peterborough’s starting XI.
I really hope Paterson doesn't read this forum.

All that's been questioned isn't even the signing it's the feeHe'll see its full of people who could write their football knowledge on a stamp
He's better than Allen and probably Palmer.
He will do well for us
The made up fee that's not even that much anyway. All that's been questioned isn't even the signing it's the fee
I think that's his point, it's a sarcastic post. I hope. This might be the single worst take ive seen on here and i have read, and posted some utter shite
Goddens signing was one of the most important in years. His goals, in all them narrow wins we achieved in the L1 winning season were literally the difference between promotion and not.
Yes now we've outgrown him but his goals (along with walker tbf that season) also helped keep us up first season back
It is if there's no extra money being provided. The made up fee that's not even that much anyway.

Well Hilssner takes all kind of flak for being paid £200k a year for doing nothing, but according to you it’s a small, nominal sum, so what’s the big problem?
So you claiming that he's finished is nonsense then...Waghorn had 10 the season before we signed him and 16 before that.
Last season was by far Paterson’s best ever for goal involvements.
200k pa is about 3850 per year, what do some people think footballers good enough for the Championship earn?He didn’t do anything you answered your own question. We could try and get a bunch of people with a wage ceiling of £200k a year but then we have a bottom league 1 salary plan
great strategy that
At a guess, 25/26.How old was mcgoldrick when he came to cov?
I would think £4K a week is about the lowest average for run of the mill squad players in the championship.200k pa is about 3850 per year, what do some people think footballers good enough for the Championship earn?
Yeah and a squad of them wouldn't be good enoughI would think £4K a week is about the lowest average for run of the mill squad players in the championship.
I think the issue is more of a financial one than a footballing one. If debts have been sorted, but the available cash is the same, I don't think it's unreasonable to have a few question marks on this.Patterson is a good enough player who isn't going to cost a fortune. Yes he's not O'Hare but O'Hare isn't going to be around again fora long while.
There's loads of things we can complain about but buying a player to fill an actual need isn't one of them
Swansea should have took the money.Interesting article from 12 months ago from the Swansea local press. They felt Swansea were holding out for £750k to £1m for Paterson. Also a little footnote they were interested in Josh Wilson Esbrand
New Swansea City signings and Paterson resolution to come in final 10 days
Transfer deadline day is not too far away, and Swansea City still have plenty of work to do in the winter windowwww.walesonline.co.uk
I’ve no idea what this means.200k pa is about 3850 per year, what do some people think footballers good enough for the Championship earn?
It's in plain English, not my fault you are thick.I’ve no idea what this means.
It really doesn't make any senseIt's in plain English, not my fault you are thick.
Also didn't you make a big song and dance about blocking me? Wow, so you are both thick as shit and a liar.
Chins up mate
Why? It's a position of need for not a large fee. What else do you suggest we do? We need a new AM, what is your plan then?I think the issue is more of a financial one than a footballing one. If debts have been sorted, but the available cash is the same, I don't think it's unreasonable to have a few question marks on this.
yes, it does. It may have a typo but the general idea is a very simple one.It really doesn't make any sense
What does pa mean?yes, it does. It may have a typo but the general idea is a very simple one.
Per annum, so basically 3850 per "week" is 200k a year. That doesn't buy you much in the current marketWhat does pa mean?

Look in the league below or abroad for younger players capable of making the step up.Why? It's a position of need for not a large fee. What else do you suggest we do? We need a new AM, what is your plan then?
???? I explained it was a typoWhat does per year mean?
Considering Twine was what 4m? Who do you want for 400kLook in the league below or abroad for younger players capable of making the step up.

we're not, he's talking utter rotConsidering Twine was what 4m? Who do you want for 400k
also considering Brexit rules make it notoriously difficult to sign foreign players - which top league in Europe are we getting a championship standard AM for 400k?
