Come on Frank and Doug. Get your finger out. I’m now losing sleep and weight with this heavy burden. Roll on February 1st.

And we never NOT going to spend that windfall. This time last year we would have said it was money very well spent - Simms, Wright, Saka, MvE all doing well - even Kitching and Thomas relatively good.

King couldn’t have predicted sexual infidelity from bloody Robins and Adi (of all people ) would wreck most of that.
Then by his recruitment team failing him at the end of summer it pretty much put us where we are.

Suspect we won’t get funds to splash out on like that for a long rime now - the Vic money being the only lifeline really.

Which he's unconcerned about from a radio comment about the time of the forum.

Somewhat sceptical of this because we’ve needed and nearly signed several CMs since the summer.

Are you sure it is 1 in, 1 out for the whole squad or just certain positions. For example, it probably would make sense if we did a one in/out for CBs.

When we say ‘the money is gone’, is that for FFP budgeting or as a whole. I find it amusing that your source and Jimmy’s are on two completely different wavelengths and have competing narratives on the state of the club.

With respect, I do hope you/your source is misinformed/misinterpreting things. Just as GIMOC was last season.

IMO the £60,500 000 debt is a paper one and just the validation of CCFC when SISU transferred the club to DK.
Im guessing this is not amount DK paid.
In terms of investment into the club, there is a high correlation between clubs losing £30m+ pa in the season they get promoted to the PL.
Therefore, it’s a given that DK doesn’t have the funds to invest that amount, so we would have to defy the odds to reach the PL

Yet wage spend would be bottom 6. I also wouldnt get so het up about the stated transfer amounts for alot of the players because there is an awful lot related to performance, promotion, and sell on fees.
Simms for example is not 8m he was 3.5 with add ons that could have taken it to 8

Hadn't thought of it in this manner but presumably there is a personal capital gain for DK with a transaction of this nature and the associated tax liability? Would this be deferrable until redemption on his behalf ?

Also, everyone needs to calm the fuck down.
a couple of extra bodies in the building to take the pressure off and give us some different options is all thats needed right now.
we do have a good, talented squad, they showed that last year, we are miles away (for the better) from the state of some previous championship squads we’ve had previously and even other squads have now.
Plenty of teams in this league would snap our hands off for the likes Of Dovin, Thomas, Sheaf, MVE, Sakamoto, EMC, Torp, Rudoni, Simms and Wright.
On its day, performing well, thats a good spine.

Possibly a rebuild if lots decide to jump ship, but i dont think thats an idea we should be promoting

DK invested £6,050,000 into the parent company CovCityCo Ltd (CCC L). CCC L then ‘loaned’ CCFC £6,000,000. It’s a group transaction so yes it is a paper debt between the two companies but DK still personally invested £6.05m.

Asked if he is anywhere near making any new signings, Lampard said: “No, as in there isn’t any news to give you but we want to help the squad if we can. We’ve got different options and if we want to bring someone in it has to be to improve us and help us right in this moment, or improve us in long term.

“I think we have to be very strategic about that and obviously I want to be able to do that because it helps my job and I want to form the team as I see it. So those are things we need to get right, not just in this window. So it’s what can help us now in certain areas but also what maybe we want to do for the longer term, so those are our discussions.”
