stinks of another hillsner
woke up this morning feeling fine…
Cynically, probably means we won’t sign him either because why would he join to play 2nd fiddle to MVE?Always a risk with signing unknowns, never heard of him but could be a great signing or flop if we get him as simple as that , but Ipswich want him and Monza in Serie A so he can't be that bad a player
they are loaning him and will only actually buy him if they get promotedSunderland signing players for £20m and we are after players barely with a wikipedia

Sunderland signing players for £20m …
I wonder if a deal with Jelert coming here and they give us £2-3 mill would be of interest? 3 years younger a few cm’s tallerGalatasaray's right back is from Championship! Offer is on the way
Galatasaray has decided to make an offer for Coventry City's Dutch right-back Milan van Ewijk, which is on their agenda.
Galatasaray, who could not get the performance they wanted from Elias Jelert, who joined the squad at the beginning of the season,…
cool story bro, needs more dragons thoughCrikey
And?
Being clinical is about chance conversion, not how many goals you score total. Last season Haji underperformed his xG and had very average conversion ratios. He wasn't clinical.
Do you understand what xG is?Whilst it's probably well known on here that I think xG's a load of b*llocks, take a look a this, Haji Wrights stats from last season in the Championship....

Top 95 percentile for non penalty xG for last season, hardly 'very average'....
HardlyDo you understand what xG is?
He scored 13 non penalty goals in the championship. So converting 13.4 npxg into 13 goals is not clinical, it's below average finishing.
So he was an average finisher. i.e. not clinical. Not sure why this is difficult to understand.Hardlyhe scored the amount of goals expected.
Early on he was underperforming xg which is why I was heavily backing him on here despite being written off by many. Clearly he recovered the deficit by the end of the season.
So all these stats show him to be one of the best goal scorers in the league. What are we arguing aboutWhilst it's probably well known on here that I think xG's a load of b*llocks, take a look a this, Haji Wrights stats from last season in the Championship....

xg describes how many chances you get. Not how clinical you are at finishing them.Honestly, not really.
Buuuuuuut, it literally says he was in the top 95 percentile of Championship players for npxg last season.
That means he was one of the best...not below average.
He was 6th highest out of 368 people to score goals in the Championship last season.
To say he's below average from a 'clinical' point of view is nonsense.
Should have been more careful with that first sentence Harry. Some people are on a hair trigger.Yeah - people are probably not going tomorrow because of that.
I reckon that's why Sheffield United fans didn't bother yesterday, because they hadn't bought extra cover if hamer has picked up a niggle. Are you going tomorrow? I am. If we had signed Thomas Nickernacker from AZ Alkmaar (who we'd both know nothing about) does that mean thousands more would have turned up? (and he probably wouldn't have started anyway). Fact is, we know nothing about what is going on behind the scenes. Just support the club/team.
Haji's a great goalscorer, not a particularly clinical finisher though. So all these stats show him to be one of the best goal scorers in the league. What are we arguing about
King needs a bollockingApparently CB has been out on the back burner with Sheafs injury

Don’t really get this. So we were going to sell Sheaf to bring in a CB.Apparently CB has been out on the back burner with Sheafs injury

1 in 1 out sounds rather simplistic, 1 leaving for multiple millions is obviously different to someone leaving on loan or for peanuts. That said i'm not surprised on the spending, we've spent a lot tbf. We will likely need to generate from another sale. Assuming MvE is the most likely.Apparently CB has been out on the back burner with Sheafs injury

No the idea is that we’ve let Andrews go, so rather than getting a CB in we get in a Sheaf replacementDon’t really get this. So we were going to sell Sheaf to bring in a CB.
Now he’s out, we’re going to bring in a CM and then it’s one to one. Or we were going to sell Lati to bring in a CM?
That’s madness tooApparently CB has been out on the back burner with Sheafs injury
