The same Mcallister that is assistant manager at Rangers? Why would he want to come here.Doyle and I assume Viveash had a right bust up didn’t they?
He’s built a cult status for one season whereas in reality he was rubbish 90% of the time over his whole career here. I admire his ability to retain fitness and dedication but why would he be a better coach as a former player than say Mcallister

I don’t see him as a first team coach either but then again I’ve no idea who I would like. Regards Michael Doyle I like him and respect the long career he has had especially after I first seen him when he looked miles out of his depth. Fans seem to love him and he was a crucial cog in our climb out of division one and recent history, lot of respect for guy but that’s where he should remain in our history.Doyle and I assume Viveash had a right bust up didn’t they?

So what’s gone on here then ????
I think we need a coach with attributes and skills that have been identified by MR as either missing or a weakness within the current coaching staffI don’t see him as a first team coach either but then again I’ve no idea who I would like. i don’t claim to be an expert on first team coaches but I bet there aren’t many who have not been pro footballers somewhere or other. We need to move forward and appoint people of better quality. Wanting ex-players is not the way to go generally.
I kind of agree with you. My point is more about just because Doyle was immense for us doesn't mean he'll be a great coach. I would rather we went for someone with experience and a track record.Don’t agree with that

Could be the current u18 coach that gets the nod who is a bit of a superstar in the coaching world at the sprightly age of 28 years oldWas pretty obvious once they advertised for a new first team coach last week. Be interesting to see who gets the gig.
Interesting someone mentioned McSheffrey. Wouldn’t he tick most of the criteria boxes? Not saying it should be him, just got me thinking.
Gary offered his services to play in L2 in 2017... Which Mark declined... Then broadcasted this to media... in a way like MR turned down Mbappe.Don't believe him and Robins have a particularly good relationship.

Would need an interpreter as well so two headsCan’t believe that some expect/want Doyle to come in as First Team Coach. Once again personality trumps ability.
There’s a lot of coaches at top level now who weren’t even professional footballers, but have got their coaching badges as well as coming from a data analytics backgroundCan we stop promoting ex-players as our next 1st team coach. We need the best possible person, who'll compliment the existing coaching staff and has 100% belief in the culture of the club. The best candidate could be someone who's never played at this level.
We definitely don’t want a yes man wasting time saying nice to the existing staff. Can we stop promoting ex-players as our next 1st team coach. We have been awarded best academy in the championship league which is a feather in his cap and should imagine it will help him get a very good position somewhereI’d be surprised if he jumped. Can’t see him getting another championship club.

He has nothing to do with the Acadamy nowWe have been awarded best academy in the championship league which is a feather in his cap and should imagine it will help him get a very good position somewhere
Surprised at that. Horrible bloke when I have had dealings with him. Has moved around quite a bit on the non-league/academy circuit in recent years. Maybe that explains why.Farndon used to be Youth team manager at Boro when I was there back in like 2007/2008
His kids also go school in Nuneaton so makes sense. Would have hoped he got something bigger though, he’s a hit with young lads, everybody loves him
