Response To FIsher Claim
The Chairman of the Jimmy Hill Statue Committee has said that it is the Coventry City fanbase who will decide what happens to the Jimmy Hill statue.
Tim Fisher said on BBC Coventry & Warwickshire on Saturday that the statue, Garden Of Remembrance would be moved to the new stadium that SISU are proposing to build.
Major Kevin F.P.Heffernan told Covsupport News Service: "The Ricoh Arena is at present, Highfield Road 2. "It became known as the City of Coventry Stadium during the Olympics. It has been my sincere wish and hope that one day it would become "The Sky Blue Arena" (SKA).
"As a Vice President of CCFC and Chairman of the Jimmy Hill Tribute Appeal, I am totally opposed to my beloved Sky Blues playing anywhere other than the currently named Ricoh Arena.
"As for the Jimmy Hill Statue, which is the property of the Sky Blue Army and the JH Tribute Appeal Committee, it will not be going anywhere without their consent and after proper consultation with the whole fan base. Neither CCFC Ltd, CCFC (Holdings) Ltd or SISU have any title to the financial interest in the JH Statue. I personally supervised every minute of the fundraising and installation of the Statue and until the Sky Blue Army decides it will leave the Ricoh, it will do so over my dead body."

Yep he understands that the arena and club must be reunited for boths interests to be best served. The inequality of CCFC being treated as a second class tennant must end.Now THAT is the most confident & considered statement to do with our plight that I have read from anyone except the administrator.
Ive never understood why Private owners tend to look down tennantsYep he understands that the arena and club must be reunited for boths interests to be best served. The inequality of CCFC being treated as a second class tennant must end.
It always was, and is still, the hope that CCFC become owners of the Ricoh. CCFC under McGinnity and Robinson had that opportunity and could not take it because they did not have the money to buy back their share. Seppala, when she took over CCFC had that opportunity. She has tried to re-unite CCFC and the stadium by other means.
If, or when, the two are together the Club will have the best money making stadium in the country. No other stadium has the conference and banqueting facilities together with exhibition halls, now on two levels, plus hotel and casino surrounded by development land. There are no other 365 day a year stadiums with all those parts. Some have some, most have none: the Ricoh is the model for future stability in football.
This is the target outcome: CCFC in and part of the Ricoh.

PWKH ... I appreciate you can't comment in depth, but have ACL's Lawyers been made aware or the alleged illegal movement of assets from Coventry City Football Club Limited into Coventry City (Holdings) Limited i.e., moving assets from an apparent insolvent company to the detriment of creditors, including ACL and other alleged accounting irregularities ? I am concerned that the Administrator will not mention this in his final report. Thank you.
