Can’t believe jones is only 21At least Jones has had the comfort of being paid. Must be a incredibly daunting for Allassani being out of contract in the summer. Sounds like almost exactly this happened to him at Palace years ago.

All depends if he comes back and stays fit for the rest of the season I would think he could be offered another deal if this was the case he’s still young & if he comes back pre injury he walks into our teamMassively so. I'm sure the club will let him finish his rehab with us but I can't see him being offered a new deal sadly
he walks into our team

Ahh yes my mistake so in reply to your post mate yes I agree shame for the lad.I meant Allassani

November I’m hoping he’s back in training maybe under 23’sI know football is a results business and is not sentimental but I would be highly disappointed if we didn't offer JJ a new deal; he's a fantastic player. Really hoping as we all are to see a fully fit JJ running at defences later this season.

It won't be easy but if anyone can do it he canThink 433 is the perfect formation for him to fall into, just hope he can get back to anywhere near his best. Think it's going to be a tough ask personally
Imagine the fallout on here if we actually signed a player after 2 ACL injuries and nearly 2 years out of the game.Jones will be like a new signing in January I reckon.

'like a new signing' has to be up there with the worst football cliches. Darius Henderson was once a new signing.
I believe it's June next year for JonesWhen is JJ's contract up, is it the end of this season? Might take him 6 months to get anywhere near where he was when he got his first injury. Hopefully he will come through it. It would be terrible if it finished him so early in his career. Same with Allassini.
Wasn't saying they are similar. Just criticising the cliché.There's quite an obvious difference between the two players....

As cliche as it is, it's still true though, isn't it? He's played hardly any football for us in what, two years? He will be like a new signing.

Jones won't be on that much and I can't imagine there'll be a queue of better clubs waiting to sign him on the back of 2 ACLs and no proven history in L1. If he can be in and around the 1st team from January onwards a 1 year deal with a further year in our favour would seem reasonable and fair to all parties to me.
If he gets back to his former self of course he should get a new deal, but suppose his knee gives in for a 3rd time what then?
Reckon they'll spend a good few weeks trying to build the strength up in his knee before they get into any contact or competitive workTaking free kicks with the rest of the squad today with Mason quoting “JJ is back” can’t be far off first team training now
Yes seems they are really taking their time this time with him...fingers crossedReckon they'll spend a good few weeks trying to build the strength up in his knee before they get into any contact or competitive work
