I lived in Sheffield for a number of years, on the Blades side of town. Watched them and Wednesday many times and had a number of mates who were Blades fans, and were a good laugh and enjoyed their football.
Sadly their forum is devoid of such fans, ones with brains and intelligence who see football for what it is. The Blades are League one like us, and are marginally better. If they cant see the irony in acting billy big bollocks when they are in the same shit league then its shows their mentality. The fact that we are only marginally worse than them after years of mismanagement whilst they have invested heavily and are still here, only shows how poor they have been, and how things may change if we eventually sort out our shit owners.
Re Fleck, well done to them if he is doing well, but if they had the intelligence to research they will see he did exactly the same with us, and lost form. He will do so again. How the hell he won player of the year over Armstrong I will never know. They seem to ignore the fact that for someone who was making noises about moving to the championship, there was a lack of offers, and he ended up picking up the best deal in the same league he was already in. If he was that good he would have moved to a higher league.
As for the Blades, I have a lot of time for them, as I do for Wednesday, but as time goes by it appears increasingly obvious that many of their fans are perpetually stuck in the bitterness and obsession of being a poor rival to their city neighbours. Many of them often cant see out of the dark shadow of Wednesdays constant higher league placing and success. Shame!
"Well, that's two comments of mine that they don't seem to like. I suspect it might be a bit close to the bone for them re turning their backs on the club when they were on their arse."
It's actually one comment repeated, which doesn't make it any closer to being true. I'm sure when Wimbledon fans go to visit they'll be seethed at for not being MK Dons season ticket holders.
I'd like to like Sheff Utd fans.....but I can't... I once had a row with a couple of their stone island clad babies over a non-football related matter & I also clearly remember them racially abusing Dean Gordon, 1970's style, at Highfield Road......Dean Gordon did the "ape thing" right back at them & they shit their pants....
...thus proving yet again racists are always cowards....
Well, that's two comments of mine that they don't seem to like. I suspect it might be a bit close to the bone for them re turning their backs on the club when they were on their arse. For any Sky Blues reading our forum now - that's exactly what you did. When they needed you most, you had fans outside Sixfields asking fellow supporters not to go in and attendances of 1500.

Not sure what they're getting so worked up about. Fleck had his good and bad moments but at the end of the day was here for several years and we didn't have much success during that time. Sometimes a move is needed for a player to kick on. If he's doing well for them then good for him, will he sustain it though?
I thought Fleck was going to do for us what Charlie Adam did for Blackpool so while he wasn't amazing he still had his moments. I always felt he should have presented more of a goal threat and when leaving us he should have moved up a division at least, but it sounds like he's more of an attacking threat in a team that's on course for a promotion push so it seems a canny move for him.
