Favourites with Paddy Power for the Johnstones Paint Trophy at 6/1 :-O only thing we've been favourites for in my lifetime is relegation
I'm starting to regain my pride for the club and genuinely beleive we have turned a corner under Robins. Can't wait for the Notts County game, just exchanged my Flexi tickets, half way up block 22, see some of you there.
I saw this last night, we were 399/100 with somebody (cant remember who, i was on oddschecker). Whats the point in 399/100? surely its easier to make it 4/1?
Love being favourites for something other than relegation though, makes a nice change
The same reason why garages charge £X.xx.9 a litre for fuel. Because they can. Nothing pi55es me off more than seeing that bloody pricing on a garage forecourt: £1.42.9 per litre! Why not round it up to £1.43? And the .9 bit is always smaller than the rest of the price. It's to make you think their fuel is only £1.42. It's all wrong! (I've used that price as an example only btw!)

It's true though ain't it? If I were to go to a garage and collect a scientifically measured 1 litre of fuel, would I get my 1/10th of a penny change? No! They'd round it up and keep it! THAT'S what annoys me. So after 10 litres sold, they've made an illegal penny. Not a lot, but when you tot up all the thousands of litres sold a day, that could run into thousands of pounds country-wide! It's a rip-off and should be stopped! Fuel is the only commodity that seems to have this pricing policy. It's just something the public seems to accept and we shouldn't!!

it is rounded on the total, not for each litre, so given the example of 142.9p per litre 10 less would cost you exactly £14.29, so you are in fact saving a penny compared to that you would pay if they charged 143p per litre.
I can see what you're saying but for the sake of clarity can we old gits please have some hope of knowing what we are paying. Personally I would rather pay 143p , what would I do with a penny anyway??
