What a shock. I know he'd had kidney problems but never expected him to go at 40.Great rugby player and can still see him rip us apart years ago, when at least three England players couldn't bring him down for a try.More sad news it never seems to end.

That's a real shock and sad news. Deepest sympathy to his family & friends

I think this comment on the BBC website probably sums his contribution to rugby up

BBC Radio 5 live's rugby union reporter Chris Jones: http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/rugby-union/34853536

No-one transcended the sport of rugby union quite like Jonah Lomu. Bursting onto the scene of the 1995 World Cup, Lomu was a force of nature, the player of the tournament by some distance. His blend of pace, power and size never before seen.

Despite his health problems, he had been working in the UK during the recent Rugby World Cup, which makes his death all the more shocking.

Quite simply, Lomu was a giant of world rugby. The man who changed the game forever.

RIP Jonah

Bloody hell...now that is a loss. R.I.P Jonah.

There was me looking for that Pizza Hut advert on Youtube the other day, the one with him and Tony Underwood.
