Yawn. It's a genuine rumour, he's obviously not made it up so why comment ? The same idiots said we'd never sign Fleck and Barton when them threads started, why not just leave it for a bit and see if owt comes of it before the sarky comments start

Lol I didn't think that one through did I ! I meant its a rumour that he's got from a source (the paper) and not summat he's made up. Nobody should ever be worried to post anything they've got from a geniune source due to people making sarky comments, if summat been reported in the paper I want to hear about it true or not

Also some were very aggressive and rude when the rumour about contracts being renegotiated and bonuses changed was posted because source was someones dad who was installing Sky at Bakers - turned out to be true. Very easy to slag off people from behind a keyboard.

Fair enough TC. I do tend to drop the odd daft comment in now and again. And yes, I do have a dry sense of humour. Not appreciated by everyone though!

If there is any truth in this he would be a very good option for us. Scored about 3 in 6 appearances last year on loan at gillingham apparently.

The problem there though is we need to start with him on the bench. To then swap to this formation we'd need to bring off a striker to bring a winger on. If we're losing then taking a striker off not a good move.

We could flatten out to a regular 442 I guess, with Fleck on the other flank, but this moves him out of his best position .

Don't get me wrong, I welcome pace but just struggling to see how we can optimise his abilities tactically with our players.

Genuine rumour is a bit of an oxymoron but your point is bang on. Peple just like to be pessimists I think, that way if Cov dont sign anyone they were right all along and if they do they are happy about it anyway.

Agreed but there's a fine line between the two matey, it seems every thread that gets started about a potential signing the first 5 posts are calling the person out and calling there post lies, it then gets reported in the CET two hours later and these people suddenly shut up / delete there posts. If HH's post was humour that's fine but the final straw for me was the bloke who broke the story about the player bonuses, people were harsh to that bloke, even started there own threads taking the piss, as I say if there's a "genuine rumour" (new favourite phrase!) about Coventry in the daily rags I want to hear about it

Yes it has lol

But im of the same opinion. I check that rumour site out everyday and while the majority of it is pure bull, some of it actually comes true.

They predicted Malaga, Barton, the possible signing on Jennings etc.

There have been some gems so can't discount it completely.

And of course, if i comes from a genuin local/regional paper then its best we hear about it...you never know
