stop playing shit jordan
you forget current performances mate?Forgot the supportive bit mate?
you forget current performances mate?
Forgive, not forget. The great thing that has happened with meeting players is that you realise they are people first and foremost. Things like regular appearances at the L&W supporters club have strengthened bonds between players and fans. Jordan's dad travels with fans to the game. Of course I groan if he misplaces a pass, but I'll never shout abuse at him (as in a frustrated state, I might once have). Come along to one of the meetings and you'll see what I mean. Jordan comes along to the meetings as a 'fan' even if he's not one of the 'invited' players.
I'm perhaps in a minority of being patient with Shippers and Bakaypko but then I like Lee Burge too. These are all our boys and they all need support. How many of us get better at our jobs if someone tells us we're shit?I have never swore at him. Just find it annoying when those that has home town kid bias refuse to accept they are playing poorly.
Look at Twitter. Grown men crying that people are saying Jordan is playing poor but those same men will rip bakayoko to shreds
Doesnt wash with me.
Shipley played big part in promotion. Will not be forgotten. Me wanting him to improve or be dropped doesn't change the appreciation I have for him

Recent performances include scoring and then winning the penalty ar Oxford. The people who sit in the seats behind us are non stop on at Shipley from the first minute to the last. No recognition that he hasn’t played a full season in men’s football yet and is still a young player.you forget current performances mate?
What the fucj have the guys behind you got to do with me?Recent performances include scoring and then winning the penalty ar Oxford. As someone who has been every game bar Blackpool this season I don’t think Shipley has been poor all season. He was good when he came on against oxford in the cup and against Plymouth at home. Unlucky not to score in both. He also played very well at gillingham and oxford. He clearly struggles with playing at the Ricoh but so would most people if they were the scapegoat and had the Ricoh erupt when they made a bad pass. I also think he was one of the only ones who tried to make a difference against Bristol on Saturday! He’s very hit and miss but to say he’s been poor all season is incorrect. What the fucj have the guys behind you got to do with me?
He's been poor all season. 2 moments vs Oxford isn't enough. One of our own or not
No it isn't. I have also seen every game. You don't know your footballAs someone who has been every game bar Blackpool this season I don’t think Shipley has been poor all season. They seem to have the same intolerant view that you have. A player has to be instantly good, now, no time to develop, play well now or be left out. Young players need to be given time to reach their potential. Shipley showed enough last season to show that there is a player in there. Applying your logic, McNulty would have been bombed out after his first few games. Luckily we have a manager with more patience and foresight than some of the fans. What the fucj have the guys behind you got to do with me?

Thank you! And when it's Nick coming to my defence you need to realise it's the truth for crying out loudThink you have to be a bit realistic and open your eyes sometimes.
If somebody says he has a bad game one week, your response is that he scored against Oxford of the Play Off Final.
Nothing wrong with saying he has a bad game one week if then praising him the next if he has a good game.
It is proper fingers in ears stuff sometimes. We can't have a player playing all season if he doesn't find any form because he scored in the play off final last year and he is from the academy. I hope he does improve and get a bit more confidence / form but there's nothing wrong with pointing out a player is playing badly.
I don’t think Shipley has performed well this season, he wouldn’t be a particular favourite player of mine. However, I don’t think he deserves the stick he is being given. I think he always gives 100% and the fact that he is willing to run all day for the team is a positive not a negative thing. I have no objection to him being given time out of the team, in fact with Jones now coming back he may struggle to keep his place. My objection is to the constant harping on about one player who can never do anything right in some people’s eyes ( those who sit behind us for example). The fact that I am sticking up for Shipley has nothing to do with the fact he is from the academy, so not one of the home town boy fans that you hate. If you look back at previous posts you will see that I have tried to stick up for players like Biamou who I felt was being unfairly criticised. It is the same with Shipley. Look at your posts in the Sunderland match day thread, constantly on about him. Yesterday I felt he did make a positive contribution while still not having a great game. Interesting that Robins in his comments after the Barnsley match singled out Shipley for praise. Now I thought he had played poorly in that game as most people did, so that is Robins either seeing things that you and I don’t or he is giving a boost to a player who is struggling at the moment and needs support rather than constant criticism. What a ridiculous statement to make. How am I intolerant of Shipley? How am I demanding he be at his best at 21?
Have you seriously never heard of taking someone out the firing line? Never seen someone dropped and come back better?
LMAO. I like Jordan Shipley! He was massive in promotion. He could be massive this year but currently hes been playing poor and it is not bullying to point that out
You are a perfect example of the home town boy fans that annoy me tho.

Chaplin is a striker. He's shown he will keep getting chancesYet all we hear about Chaplin is that the goals will come. Shipley was lambasted the other week for missing a volley in the penalty area. Chaplin for a so called finisher has been embarrassing in his delivery to date.

Shipley may go 3 or 4 games without a shot. So what his reason for remaining in the team? The defensive side of his game has rightfully been shown as overrated.
He scored vs OxfordThe only purpose Chaplin has is goals that’s it and there haven’t to date been any
not at all. if everyone just admitted what you have we wouldnt be going around in circles. i have zero issue with shipley, he gave me one of greatest moments in city fan history earlier this yearYou seem a little obsessed with young Jordan, but i agree he is not playing great but Jones is waiting in the wings (no pun intended) so we may see Shipley getting less game time
