Played 3 of the last 4 seasons in the championship, brilliant on the ball with a strong leader like mentality.
Highly rated by all his previous clubs and their fans.... His pedigree far exceeds Jordans
So a CV that’s a bit better. Not sure it’s enough for me to go out on a limb and assume he’ll be better. We can only wait and see.
and with shippers instead of ten bagsTo be fair, there were times last season towards the end where we looked better without Jordan in the side and Tom Davis was playing... Just being honest

But I've already shat in a bagAnyway ladies and gentlemen. Let’s try not to embarrass ourselves with this one yeah?

We can. McFad's not the long term answer either. So a CV that’s a bit better. Not sure it’s enough for me to go out on a limb and assume he’ll be better. We can only wait and see.
And 3 seasons later, Fleck is in the Premier League and with 2 promotions under his belt and still only 27, he's at the peak of his earning powers.
‘McFadzean will be better’
Can I just ask what people are basing this on?
Did Luton do a U-Turn on him I wonder all seemed a done dealNot sure if I'm just looking for it but he looks so disappointed when he's talking about Championship interest.
Where's our body language expert?
In my opinion mcfadzean is a fantastic replacement and rose as understudy, we probably couldn't really have signed much better and there won't be much if any better centre half 2 than hyam and fadz in league 1.
Hyam reads the ball so well, always cool calm and collective I'm really happy we still have him, he will definitely play at a higher level one day I'm just hoping it's with us

Anyway, I'll miss Jordan. We did our best to ruin him by playing him at right back, but he came through that and showed he has plenty of attributes to be a decent CB. Hope he does well for himself... just that we do even better!
Reminds me of Doyle when he arrived at County in January, very downbeat. Not his first choice me thinks. I've never rated him as highly as some, decent in this league but not sure if he could cut it higher up, looks like the championship agreed. As for him signing for Sunderland, if he was only left with teams in this league to choose from he's at one of the biggest now, hope we do the double over them though. Not sure if I'm just looking for it but he looks so disappointed when he's talking about Championship interest.

Indeed, but the comparison was McFad v Willis. We don't know if the young ones will make it or not, we do know Willis is already more than competent at this level, probably the one above, and is young enough to improve further.Aside from McFadzean, all of our CBs are under the age of 25 and there’s about 5 of them off the top of my head, with only Drysdale yet to make a start in L1.
I think we’ve well too, to the extent that I don’t think Hyam is necessarily a shoe-in as a starter. McFadzean is going to be a big player for us next season as he offers something we lacked last season: experience and leadership (despite Kelly, you need more than one leader).
I do think Willis would be starter if he stayed because he’d compliment McFadzean v well, but having Hyam is growing to be a very, very good defender and Rose is also highly regarded.
Losing Willis is a loss for sure, but one we’ve mitigated very well to be fair to Robins and the recruitment team.
Let’s be honest, Willis thought he was billy big bollocks, on his way up the leagues, but no championship club came in with a solid offer, and we had moved on and bought in replacements, so rather than sign on the dole he grabbed the first offer that came in, hence he’s staying at the level he’s been used to. I wouldnt be surprised if he was on the blower to Burge begging him to put a word in.
As for his talents, He’s a reasonably solid league 1 centre half, strong, quick but not commanding enough in the air, and not the best at defending corners and set pieces.
He was a good servant to us, but not a big loss as I think we’ve signed a better player to replace him.
