Wow that’s great to see, the relationship with the board and the fans is better than ever largely thanks to Boddy I would suggest. Long may it continue

Good to see after all the lack of sightings over the early years that they are making great efforts to build bridges.

How do you know him? Does he have any connection to the club - other than being a fan?

he has some pictures with Bros and seems to have an interest in Rik Astley

Tbf, whilst I agree it's meaningless, as owner and not a fan, you can't blame her for not attending in the dark days to have 10,000 screaming obscenity at you whilst the team gets spanked by Yeovil!

I think when it got really bad she was probably advised not to attend to be fair to her

To think this builds bridges to the majority of supporters is tenuous at best.

Would have more sympathy if it was a very regular event but I don't believe it is. She is identified as the owner, she should be interested in the club and its fans ...... and display that often if it truly is building these mythical bridges.

People too easily equate a good bit of PR with something more meaningful

I met Joy last month through a shared connection. In a non-football setting and nobody else there knew she even had a CCFC connection - so there was no way I could go into full interrogation mode. But of course we talked about the Club after I mentioned being a fan - and it was appropriate to do so in that setting.

My impressions for what they are worth. She seems like a seriously nice person, very friendly and thoughtful. I certainly didn't get the impression it was all for show - honestly not something I expected.

I also think she's invested with the people around the club - for example she spoke very fondly about relationships with our sponsors, directors and even about having friendships with the partners of our longer term players. And there's lots of contact with Robins and that relationship is very positive. She speaks for example with Robins after every game. Clearly there's a huge amount of trust in Robins.

I'm not saying at all that Joy is about to recommend to her shareholders that they put in a few billions for 'instant success' but I certainly feel she's invested on some level. And it's not just financial. Again no idea what that means for SISU's financial commitment to us (probably nothing at all) but I was pleasantly surprised by her overall engagement and how genuine she was to everyone.

Lots of people have now said very similar to this, I won't say that she does not care for the club as i have never met her.

I have a member of my family who works for the club and all they really say is everyone is always paid on time (even in our darkest league 2 season).

The thing is i love the club but could never afford to pay the bills, showing you love and care for the club does not mean she will help take us to the next level and what the club needs is someone who will.

If that is her, great. I just don't see it.

We need someone who not only cares for the club but is willing to take us to the next level without loading us with debt and charging stupid levels of interest on that debt.

As the owner of a hedge fund, i don't see how she can ever do that.

Every penny she lends the club has to see a return for her investors or her own business will suffer.
Nothing she can do about that other than use her own money to subsidize the club separately from SISU Capitals money and that will never happen.

So as nice as she may or may not be, i don't see the equity available to the club rising any time soon unless she sells up or takes on non profit partners.

As before, we sell tickets and merchandise.
We now get more Sky and foreign broadcasters money and the more we are on TV the more money the club gets to spend.
Apart from that we sell players and as much as she cares for us a good percentage will go towards paying shareholders and interest on debts before we even lower what we owe.
That is just business, nothing against her.

What we need is someone who is in it for the love of the club and has a stupid bank account, prepared to keep writing of money like Stokes for example .

I don't see one coming soon with the money SISU would want to sell up, so basically either we all put the money in every week or we rely on MR to continue to perform miracles.

Let's hope he has a few more miracles up his sleeve.

Everyone likes to be liked and it must be hard not to get involved emotionally especially with a vested interest after the success of recent years. I think they'd pretty much written us off and were just burying debts, Robins was one last throw of the dice and as long as it remained self sufficient they'll continue with it. Now we're close I imagine they can see as business people hiw lucrative one more promotion would be whatever their end game and in her shoes I'd be making out I was the clubs number one fan right now.
