The thread was not a troll attempt it is my genuine opinion.
Outrageous decision.
Who in their right mind when facing relegation sells their top striker for less than a million in January. Relegation is an automatic loss of 5 million!
Then they only allow the manager to replace him with loanees.
Yes the loanees were good signings hence the increase in points total without Juke.
However surely the minimum expected would have been keep Juke and sign the loanees. Save the club 5 million sell Juke in the summer.
Thank god the council are taking on these self destruct idiots.
On the proud of the council thread in response to the Juke loan bit.

Why at the start if this post did you also not add "appoint a real manager like mark Robbins or Steven Pressley". This is not actually a flippant statement, it would have meant you'd be taken seriously. Until you admit that you never will be.
I take it Huddersfield are on fire with the amazing Mark Robins. Who if recall you thought was an fantastic manager who turned the phenomenal mess that Andy Thorn left behind.
Whereas I felt he inherited a good team added a couple of his own and the team did as expected.
I assume Huddersfield are at least in the play offs with his magic?

I wouldn't know if its a good team or not. I can't name a single Huddersfield player as without looking on wiki I'm sure you can't. I would say mid table would be a good achievement from where they were last session. You had the chance but still want to keep trolling I see.
Norwood, Wells, Danny Ward, Alex Smithies, Adam Clayton and James Vaughn off the top of my head. You have a lack of football knowledge Grendell, on their team I'd say it is pretty standard for the championship. Mid table would be the expectation but with ambitions to challenge for the play offs in coming years I would say, they've invested a fair bit of money and made a statement of intent by signing Nakhi Wells for 1 mill+ in January

Was surprised to find the thread locked not sure what happened in my absence.
Hopefully it was not my post because it is my opinion and I standby it.
Proud of the manager, the players, the council, ACL, some of the MP's the majority of the fans.
Disgusted by the owners
funnily grendel you can never be taken seriously
Don, out of interest as a percentage, what do you think our chances of survival would have been had we kept juke, given that we were bottom of the league with 19 points from 25 games? Your post suggests that keeping juke = avoiding relegation = saving the club £5m like it would have been a dead cert?
I know you can't always trust the press, but figures suggest we got in the region of £1.3m for him.
You missed a little key fact in that post
Keep Juke + give him a strike partner + give him a supplier = much better chance of staying up.
Like Grendel pointed out when he went our point ratio went up. So imagine him plus the signings.
Can I now ask you a question how much less do you think we would have got selling Juke in the summer?
Is that difference worth losing to try and stay up?

So don when you say keep juke with a strike partner are you at lady admitting thorn blew half a million on a crock of shit called Cody McDonald?
Also bear in mind of the three loans only Norwood was a success. Lets not even debate Nimely - one goal and the left back was crocked. Factor in the managers signings the following season and its entirely reasonable to suggest he would sign one decent player for every 11 he signed. Interestingly the harriers fans are skating the additions he's made.
Chances that he'd have to signed a whole team on the basis most would be poor.
At least you now admit McDonald was shit - its a start.
As for juke he goes of he wants to. You thought we could keep Clarke against his wishes. Grow up.
McDonald shit.......
Played as a striker week in week out will score.
If we had him over the last 2 months we would be in the play offs. SP's only second mistake.
Nimely how many assists, how many more with Juke?
Norwood feeding nimley juke and Cody IMO would have meant 5 million saved
Didn't miss the key point at all. Yes the chance would have been better with Juke but IMO we were already down. Play off form required with a poor squad, was never going to happen.
I'd imagine we'd have got about half of the transfer fee, so would have lost another £650k on top of the £5m. We also wouldn't have afforded the loan fee or wages for the incoming players.
No one can argue that the side was poorly funded and ill equipped but I guess that's what you get when your turnover is in the bottom 3-4 in the league.
So anyway, what do you think our % chance of us staying up had we kept juke?

Btw glad this can be debated
I am not trolling
Have I gone back in time?
Although cody had a disappointing season when we were relegated he has scored 1 in 2 at Gillingham since he left us. The relegation squad lacked pace throughout, Sheffers and Platt being prime examples and Clingan Hussey and Bell were just terrible players in that final season. Nimley won a lot of penalties and I wouldn't judge him too harshly always tried hard. Having lost so many players from the previous season SISU made no attempt to build a squad sufficient to compete, bringing in a loan signing in Gary Gardener for just 4 games was pointless.
It's worth pointing out that we sold circa £3M. across that season and for what we paid for McDonald Marlon could have had his 3rd year, without requiring a transfer fee
So would we. then have stayed up and consequently would we have needed to sell Turner. Juke. Keogh
