Colchester manager Kevin Keen says the job has "probably" been more of a challenge than he anticipated.
The 48-year-old is yet to achieve a League One victory after taking his first managerial role in December. When asked by BBC Essex if he regretted taking the job, Keen said: "100% no. I really believe the club is going in the right direction. I think we've got some fantastic young players."
The U's have only won one match since Keen replaced Tony Humes - a 2-1 win over Charlton in the FA Cup.
Colchester are currently bottom of the table, eight points adrift of safety, having avoided relegation on the final day of last season.
Now that's what I call a brave face and positive spin! I do understand what he's trying to say, but it's hard to see how a team that have only won once since Decemebr and not at all in the league and are now 8 points adrift at the bottom of League One, are 'heading in the right direction!'
