King and Eastwood..... (1 Viewer)

Why doesn't Aidy give our 2 strikers more time together up front? I know Marlon is suspended now, but Jukebox and Platt keep getting in ahead of Eastwood and my question is why?

Eastwood now has the best goal scoring record at the club this season (goals to games) yet he never gets to play. What's he done wrong?

You bring up a good point but Eastwood has had his injuries and fitness problems for awhile now and Juke must be doing something during training/matchdays as hes been getting a constant spot upfront for awhile now. If Freddy sorts out his fitness problems and plays well enougth to keep his place during Kings ban then perhaps we might see King and Eastwood upfront once their both available for selection only time will tell.

NOOO!!! You've not found this site while CET is down for your anti-juke posts have you??

I personally think Juke has a lot to offer. Wasnt there tonight so cannot comment for tonights match, but Juke has performed alot better than other players have in the last few games, so see no reason why he should be dropped.

I maintain, as I have done on CET forum, that Juke has contributed alot to our goals for colum this season, and when he was dropped in favour of our "star striker" King, our season / form dipped, and aside from Kings goals, our team goals dried up!

I personally hope King DOES NOT walk straight back into the team after his suspension! I agree Freddy is player who needs to be in the team week in week out and will get you goals! So aslong as he keeps his fitness, he shouls stay in the team.

At the start of the season Freddy and Juke did play really well together!

I dont think King will walk straight in to the first 11 this time if Eastwood does a job!

Freddys scoring ratio is good though :)

i was talking about this the other day and it really annoyed me, Last season freddy was scoring then coleman just dropped him/ This season he was scoring and i know he was injured but when he was back he doesnt start and doesnt really come on off the bench, why? give freddy a long run in the team and he will be great, i really think he will

It's all about finding a good forward/striker partnership. Plattini was playing that support role at the start of the season with Eastwood and it worked well. Now jukebox is showing he can play that supporting role well with King or Eastwood. This is why I don't think the Eastwood/King partnership works as they both play the same role.

So how many games have Eastwood and King started together? You may think they won't work as a pairing but you don't know they won't.....

Just the feeling that they're both finishers. The most common partnership in football is a forward with a striker: you hope to see both scoring but in general the forward links the midfield to the striker and he bangs in the goal. You can play with two strikers (King/Eastwood) but it requires a decent attacking midfielder covering box to box and we don't have that. We generally have defensive/central midfielders and they're not that effective at linking to the front.

I'd play Eastwood ahead of King. Still say we were doing better before Marlon became a permenant fixture

No blame attatched to him, he is head and shoulders above the rest, therein I think lies the problem
