I think he would be absolutely fantastic for us : Boothroyd
Coventry City manager Aidy Boothroyd has confirmed that disgraced striker Marlon King has undergone a series of fitness tests at the Ryton training ground.
It would now appear that a deal depends on whether King and his advisers agree to the package offered by Coventry City.
Boothroyd confirmed, “The situation with Marlon is still ongoing, but we are quite close now and it’s getting closer. We’re talking and we’ve had him in to do some tests on him."
“We always like to be thorough so we do a lot of tests on our players and I wanted to see where he is in comparison should we press the button and should he wish to come."
“We want to make sure he’s right if we can get this over the line and I think he would be absolutely fantastic for us if we can do that.”
I hope h does sign, and i ca see him getting into the starting line up against Liecester because he's been training every day in prison just the same as he would out of prison.
Im still on the fence with this one.....I love him to come and be great for us, but I think he'll come and be a big millstone around our necks so to speak...
I'll be chuffed if he does sign but the fans are putting alot of weight on his shoulder to be this goal machine we really want and if he turns out just to be a ok player will some of the fans try to burn down the city in a big I told you so!
I'm looking forwards to him signing ! I'm not at all expecting him to be a "goal scoring machine".... I am however hoping that he will be a regular goalscorer because we haven't really had one of those since McSheffery the first time around.
As for fans turning against him, that would just be stupid because lets face it he can't be any worse than the shit we have had to put up with for the last 3 or 4 years !!!
