Made redundant.Does this mean Andy Harvey has left? He had been there for years.
Who's to say either him or Froggatt would even turn up. Who says it was the club who pushed him and he didn't walk?? All these conclusions people are making up in their own heads! It's more the handling of it than the cut itself, for me at least.
Double the price of the tickets for the Mark Robins dinner and kit launch to 20 quid, announce it will also be Andy's send off with him keeping 10 quid per ticket sold and that he will get to reveal the new kits. Then as a surprise, Froggatt (or whoever) present him with next seasons kits with 'Harvey' on them and the number 25 for his years of service, all signed by appreciative former players. All the anger would be gone, it would cost the club 2 shirts and the PR would be vastly improved.
Who says it was the club who pushed him and he didn't walk??
Or he could have chosen to so he got a pay out if they were discussing salaries / jobs etc?The clue is the word redundant. If he'd walked the word would be resigned.
The clue is you haven't heard anything from either the club or the person involved. Only other people on twitter, which is as almost a reliable source as Gilbert and the CTThe clue is the word redundant. If he'd walked the word would be resigned.
The clue is you're hearing if from twitter not the club. Whether he walked or was pushed is irrelevant. If it was done properly the club would be breaking the news themselves by at the very least publicly thanking him for a quarter of a century of effort. They haven't, so have granted licence for people to speculate. From a PR perspective SISU are already up shit creek without a paddle, in glass canoe. Now they've put on some barbed wire underpants too.The clue is you haven't heard anything from either the club or the person involved. Breaking news: Somebody from behind the scenes at the club doesn't have a fanfare waiting for him on his shock exit! The clue is you're hearing if from twitter not the club. The guy gets made redundant after 25 years and is respected by all .Looks like he was respected by all the players old and new.
No wonder they wanted him out.
No, not 'just' because he's worked 'somewhere' for 25 years but because during that 25 years all who met him have only had good things to say about him. A loyal, unsung guy doing one of the invisible jobs in a high profile industry surrounded by relatively famous people. If you think that's not even worthy of acknowledgement on the club website then you probably have the club you deserve.Breaking news: Somebody from behind the scenes at the club doesn't have a fanfare waiting for him on his shock exit!
So just because he's worked somewhere for 25 years he needs a full page spread in the telegraph with thanks from Joy and Timmy? If I'd worked at my place for 25 years, can I have the same too? Full page spread, Twitter speculation, a 10 page thread on sky blues talk?

It goes on...these ex players, commenting on what's going on, and calling for the owners to leave,

Made redundant.
That's correct. If he's been made redundant and then his job immediately advertised he will take them to the cleaners at a tribunal.Always thought if a person is made redundant from a job, that job is no longer there.... One for trades description!
They'll be alright they better people in tribunalsThat's correct. If he's been made redundant and then his job immediately advertised he will take them to the cleaners at a tribunal.
