Cheating, he had a run up. Like how they've sent them bowling instead of painballing though, bet Godden is fuming.

I punched one of these as hard as I could on the piss in my twenties. Missed the bag and twatted the metal bar above it. Didn’t feel it after ten pints but I woke up to fractures in my thumb and two fingers. Hurt like fuck.

To be fair, O'Hare was well into the 900s too 👀

He'd taken a penalty before for us in a shoot out and missed (it was a terrible penalty). Nothing to say he would have had any other result than Dabo.
He had also played the full 2 hours plus added time, like some of the other ‘bottlers’, unlike Dabo. The main factor really was them raking Hamer’s ankle.

Did they rake his ankle? I thought he landed awkwardly on it.

I’ve wondered about the psychology of penalty shoot outs, specifically managers asking players if they want to take one.
I’ve wondered if it might be better if managers picked who would take them, then if they miss it’s on the manager. Might take some of the pressure off afterwards?
I dunno.

The players who didn't take a penalty weren't cowards, there were just better options ahead of them including one who put it into orbit.

The one who put it into orbit should have been nowhere near taking one. Anything could have happened, sure, but why he took one still baffles me. Everyone knew he would miss.

He said in his exit interview thing he was confident and regularly took them in training and buried them in that top corner, which is something we don't see as fans (I was with everyone else who groaned as he walked forward). Assuming he was telling the truth, and the management know both those things, no reason to stop him taking one if he puts his name down.

After him there was only the 3 centre backs bidwell and Wilson left
