I'm glad the reports from the weekend state that the lad had a good game. I was worried that after the penalty miss against Rochdale that his head might drop but by all accounts, the opposite was true.
'That' reverse pass for Armstrongs 2nd goal as well....simply sensational and not a lot has been mentioned about that. You'll struggle to see a better assist or a better pass even, in the remainder of the season. Vision and the technical ability of that pass was as important for that goal as the finish itself.
What's more pleasing is that the lad isn't a loanee and is on a contract. Here's hoping he'll continue to develop under TM and his team and become an integral part of a promotion winning side.
WM
Bang on. That pass was unbelievable, but more important was that he had the vision to see that Armstrong was offside so delaying his release of the ball. Agree that it's important he had a good game, as I thought he was lacking confidence.
Do you know how long his contract was? Was it just a year?
He'll be the overall stand out player this season I think. Great technical ability and vision plus he looks like my mate
Not so sure myself. I'm sure we'll all admire his silky skills and he'll be a match winner some days and he'll be a fans favourite, but I am not convinced he is going to be a really consistent week in week out player for us, or even always be on the first 11 team sheet.
For me I think the standout and key players this season are going to be Ricketts, Vincelot and Armstrong (for as long as we can keep hold of him).
Hope I'm wrong and he is the stand out player for us, but I just can't see it and can't see him as a match winner on a weekly basis.
Let's see what he's like on a cold muddy night in Doncaster in the middle of winter.

Really impressed by his work rate and attitude. He has the ability to stick his foot in and nick the ball from opponents, sometimes to regain possession often just to slow down or disrupt an opposition move. One of the great things about Saturday was the way that Lameiras and the other flair players were not intimidated by the Millwall tactics which consisted of being in our team's face and kicking lumps from them when they could. Lameiras and the others kept looking for the ball and weren't fazed by the treatment they got. After Millwall, a cold night in Doncaster wouldn't put him off I don't think. Not so sure myself. Rubén is the new Luis Figo
Some have remarked he needs to bulk, don't think it's going to happen nor Is It essential.
Well that won't be a problem then we play atLet's see what he's like on a cold muddy night in Doncaster in the middle of winter.
Strachan was a twat though, Mowbray isn't.Huckerby lost just a little bit of his zip for us when Strachan got him to bulk up so no, not always the ideal thing to do.
Piri PiriMy only realconcern is do Portugese eat crisps, and if so what flavour?
Lameiras' mum was at the game Saturday, with his little brother.
I heard she said that the goal would have meant a lot to him, because he was released by Millwall.
Is this true? As I see no mention of Millwall on his history?
This is second hand information, so I don't know if true or not.

Razored by Millwall maybe?
FFS.......I stand corrected!Read the junior clubs section
FFS.......I stand corrected!
It just shows how petty Millwall fans are.
Indeed! good for him, I think TM has found a little gem!Dw, I wasn't sure myself
