CSF have been there from the start managing the site. You would expect the AHC to say they were looking for something else at that time CCFC had moved out and were at least publically saying they would build their own. A swimming pool was mentioned too at that time
Interesting it said the U18 & U21 squads were training and based at Ryton
Not sure how its really relevant to Wasps planning application but you've got that slightly wrong:
1) It was Higgs who kicked up about the insurance. The company that was in administration and subsequently liquidated couldn't maintain an agreement for the academy to train at Higgs, how would that work?
2) CCFC were doing the maintenance weren't they but the maintenance equipment was supplied by Higgs. When that needed replacing Higgs wanted the club to pay for replacement equipment, the club said it wasn't in their agreement.
But Wasps have 16 other sites that they have chosen to keep confidential so that nobody else can make use of them. Would you not think if there was an issue with Higgs they would make use of one of them.not sure you got what I was saying. Wasps could go in using the existing facilities in place of the Academy from 01 July 2017. Once established there they could a year or so down the line start their planning application again. By that time there could be no CCFC Academy but certainly not one at AHC. Obviously a longer solution for Wasps but could be disastrous for CCFC academy

Of course that might all be PR and it was going to be Higgs all along :jawdrop:
Indeed. If you speak to pre sisu directors the person they site as the most difficult and objectionable was not the local council.
Just here say and opinions of course.

But their the richest team in Europe and aren't even paying for this themselves, they're after a sponsor. They wont go build one elsewhere because it will cost more
But their the richest team in Europe and aren't even paying for this themselves, they're after a sponsor.
Would think there would be FOI's flying in all over the place trying to see who else they had spoken to....
Probably because they've been clever enough to not say who they're talking to. The brains of our bunch kept setting themselves up for a fall on that one insisting that they were talking to councils, environment agency and highways agency claiming that you were doing impact statement's etc when nothing could be further from the truth. How many times did they set themselves up for that fall? More than once wasn't it?
Lot of egg on faces all round then.
No Tony they said conversations hadn't got as far as to look at a FOI and all details are commercially confidential.
Which is pretty much what you said they'd done. In stark contrast to how our lot went about it.
Well it does show they have at last done some homework. But still clutching at straws in my opinion , I get the feeling its just Lip Service from the club :jimlad:
They aren't investing though are they? It's a sad state of affairs that we are indeed "clutching at straws" like this. If Cat. 2 status was such a big deal then they would be the masters of their own destiny. They hark back to things that happened over ten years ago...maybe they need to look at what past custodians of CCFC have done to the club to put us in this position!
SISU are not to blame for all of the problems. However, they over very few solutions that move the club forward!
The club are merely tenants wherever we are, whatever aspect of the club. We own nothing. So we can hardly go around issuing demands!
People may criticise Wasps all they want but the fact that they own things and are looking to invest in things really shows our owners up.
No they've not looked at any other sites in my opinion.
My opinion also is they were promised the centre when they agreed the deal for the Ricoh as they had to have a training ground in the area and never spend their own money on anything.
My other opinion is the City if Rugby initiative (something you were very supportive of) was actually created for one reason. So it could be a sponsor for the development in conjunction with the building of a 50 metre pool that even the council acknowledge will lose money.
In my opinion the City of Rugby initiative will then vanish.
Let's see shall we.
They aren't investing though are they?
LOL, I wouldn't be too sure. Another batch of estimated facts contradicting published statements or based on pure supposition.I suppose with all the nonsense you spout you'll have to be right sooner or later.
Really, do you think if we add up our initial outlay, rent and matchday costs it would be less than Wasps have put in?They've put more money into the Ricoh than CCFC. I'd call that investment.

Other than...They aren't investing though are they?
Where do we all think we will be playing home games in a couple of years.

and this training centre, for which funding is TBA.
So is that including the money SISU don't pay up?
Chiefdave, I'm aware of your views on Wasps and the way you like threads degenerating into anti-Wasps.
I certainly don't want this thread to be like that. But I do think whatever this cost Wasps: http://www.wasps.co.uk/news/article/2014/11/14/wasps-confirm-100-shareholding-in-the-ricoh-arena
Is more than SISU have spent. After all, they did withhold rent hey, but you do like to ignore that point!
Speaking of ignore. I'm going to ignore your desire to try to slag off Wasps at any opportunity!
If you look at my original point I was saying SISU don't invest enough in the club. If however you feel they do then we have far different expectations and desires for this club!
No Tony they said conversations hadn't got as far as to look at a FOI and all details are commercially confidential.
My opinion is they looked at one site only.
nice twist, he didn't say he thinks they do did he?
He was saying ccfc have invested more.
It was 1.2m a year plus match day costs wasnt it?
He didn't mention sisu, he said we as in the club.
