CCFC's priority never seems to be securing a long term deal.
I thought most on here would rather commit hell freeze over than a hedge fund get hold of a community asset
Now you want them to have it.
This is fucking hilarious.
So are you finally going to say you were wrong and SISU's tactics have just hurt us more and more up to this stage or just keep changing the subject as usual?
Never seen you admit you have got it wrong before. Might be a good time to try it. When you so glaringly have

Well no I would say I am 100% right actually.
Protect a community asset or whore it off to any London based hedge fund?
LOL told you the council couldnt give a fuck about Coventry and as for the "childrens charity" I suggest they are all in Browns getting pissed and pissing themselves they have got away with it.
Oh well we may as well fuck off then and let WASPS have it. Our fault bye bye CCFC.
i don't know, Stu. I am not an expert in takeovers, or indeed, caveats.
They could surely though make sure any new owner offered a 100 year lease to the football club, so that Coventry City couldn't just be kicked out in the future couldn't they?
Brilliant. So some are supporting this as they think it will make sisu leave..just like administration did.

Ha ha brilliant
Yes you are SISU's hard ball tactics are the best thing for CCFC and we all back them.
That's working our just dandy.
Hats off to you, you are 100% right its just the rest if Coventry who can't see it

If sisu don't leave we stay in the third division at best hasn't Tim Fisher already said we can't afford the championship let alone anything higher
If wasps buy 90% of the Ricoh then we'll struggle to get out of the third division, and probably never ever get to the PL. Owners come and go, once wasps get the Ricoh they won't be letting it goX

What are we doing now?
Trying to get out of third division. We need new owners, not acl selling the Ricoh to someone else.
How is selling 90% of the Ricoh to wasps going to benefit the club?

In our relegation season 9 teams had lower attendances yet our turnover was in the bottom 3-4 ok he league die to not having access to additional revenue, if wasps buy that 90%, we'll won't get access to that revenue for a long time.

I think that any owner of ACL would benefit from a successful football team playing there, it's in ACL's (whoever owns it) interests to strike a deal that works for the club.
What do you suggest SISU do about that?
I suggest sisu drop the appeal and I suggest ACL drop these negotiations. Spend the next 2 years building trust then negotiate a long term deal/buy out.

Too simple. Come up with another idea. It has to be over elaborate and complicated so everyone is kept on their toes and each party feels like they've got the upper hand on the other. It's the only way to do business don't you know.
Is it? Is it really? So why did ACL happily see us struggle on the edge of insolvency from the moment we moved in (and prior)?? Why did they not want to offer better rental deals earlier when the club was in trouble? Why did it take a rent striker and administration to get a better deal?
Why would wasps want to us us a deal when they need the money to fund their own squad. iIRC they have not finished in the top 6 for a couple of years now so need all the fighting fund they can get their hands on to bolster their ambitions.

Yes it is, yes it is really. I guess ACL saw that the club could afford to pay all it's bills but in the end chose not to pay the rent. I think this is the wrong way to go abut things myself, but with their many rent reductions it would seem they saw the error of their ways.
I answered the other point already, any owner would want a successful club there as they would make more money, charge too much and the club may go elsewhere. ACL have already learnt this.
I think that any owner of ACL would benefit from a successful football team playing there, it's in ACL's (whoever owns it) interests to strike a deal that works for the club.
I disagree, there's no guarantee of having 'a successful club' so any new owners will take what they can't off the club. They could give them every single spare penny of the Ricoh, but it's no guarantee that it would be successful, yes it will improve the chances and lot having access to it will almost certainly mean never getting I the PL, but none the less not guarentee success. So that begs the question, why would wasps, who need every penny they can get to get back in Europe and to find annual losses, go out their way to help the club when there's no guarantee of success and that any success would lead to more cash for them?
Yes, I'm not sure how ACL thought we could afford it when we're were constantly on the edge of insolvency, and despite hammering sisu in the JR the judge conceded the club couldn't afford the rent and it was unsustainable.

Theirs very little profit margin in F&B's c10% (£120k on 16k) so really it's all down to rent, and sponsorship, and parking)

All this, yeah of course it will be beneficial, it's in their best interests of ACL nonsense is just tosh and history shoes us that the stadium owners are only interested on their cashflow and profit margin. Let's bury our head in the sand. It will be ok.

Not an owner who says he doesnt want a football team playing there every other week - as said by good old Mr Richardson
I didn't think they had responded to any questions about the Ricoh.
No he said that about the new ground they were moving too -- which he assured fans would be in West London. I can feel the trust in the room -- can't you?
So you don't think we'll be kicked out of the Ricoh then.
I remember the old Grendel that only cared about Coventry City, it's nice that you're broadening your interests.
You'll be changing your view about Rosario next.
I thought you were so big on another post to snipe at people who just use 'snide one liners'
Pot and kettle come to mind, seems a bit like the hypocritical stance the Council are taking.ointlaugh:
