Tried to be clever. Took a dive, stood laughing with their player after the game while wearing the captain's arm band

Hope he has a nice hair do ready for the next game though.

Honestly think lampard would beat him in a race

Think he’s got some decent personal qualities and was disappointed he did that.

Unfortunately, he is a walking mistake. He’s slow, has poor control, a poor first touch and is completely not press resistant. He is less exposed as a CB than he is at RB, so I think he can get away with those misgivings in that position a little more.

Him and BTA in particular do not have the technical ability to succeed with us imo.

He was exposed by that ball all game.

Glad he finds it funny though.

It’s honestly really disappointing because I really want to like him.

Now he’s done that, coupled with his limited ability (which some people seem fooled by when he pings a decent long ball) means I want him out.

Obviously all players make mistakes. He makes really bad ones, quite often, and now seemingly laughs about it after the game.

Agreed.

I’m sorry, but it’s time Lampard wises up and stops playing him. Thomas and Kitching is our best CB pairing so just play them.

The same applies to Bassette. We’re shoehorning him into the team and he’s just not ready to be a starter for us. Simms plays well on NYD, bullied their defender for the goal and he’s rewarded with being dropped. It’s not fair and if I was him I’d be fuming.

Yet comes on today as a sub and looks completely disinterested?

You don't want people to put their lives on hold, or for it to affect their personal lives, but a bit of professional pride wouldn't go amiss.
I can’t imagine any successful professional losing like that and immediately laughing about it. It’s unprofessional at best and actively disrespecting the club at worst.

Exactly he’d be fuming. Our players just seem to treat playing for us as a kick around in the park. If I was good enough to play for us I’d be punching the dressing room walls and anybody who got in my way after that 😡

What position do you play Phil and what are your salary expectations?

You don't know the context. He does not come across as someone who is happy with losing. If you look at many other moments after the final whistle, he will look dejected.
I think Lampard smiled a little when shaking the Norwich manager's hand. Does that mean he is happy to have lost?!
Context is everything.

His only crime is not taking his job as deathly seriously as the fans during a relatively unimportant period of his work (the end of the game). The smart way to handle it is to keep up the pretence that it’s all a matter of death for as long as the fans can see and/or the cameras are rolling - once all the fans have stopped watching then everyone can move on with their lives.

Yes. That is the basic premise of professionalism. Believe it or not I’m not actually passionate about driving shareholder value through analysis of customer data. Don’t tell me boss though.
