We weren’t having much possession and nor generating any chances. He’s not a player who’s going to chase shadows all day like Bassette and BTA did.

His whole career before joining us, he was a 1 in 3 striker. At Cov, he scores every 195m, he’s proven that if he gets chances, he scores. Bassette and BTA haven’t proven that yet.

I get that it can be. But when you’re 1-0 up with only 20 mins left you need to defend from the front and he didn’t put anywhere near enough effort in with that today. As much as the other two were devoid of any real quality, they did that.

I wouldn’t wish a serious injury on Lati but would be happy if somebody took him off our hands, he is ponderous on the ball and although he can be picked in various positions he isn’t actually any good in any of them and is getting worse.

I’m not blaming him at all. I think he should have started the game tbh. He lacks the desire to press / defend from the front when that’s what we needed at that point in the game.

I’m unsure that we needed two pressing forwards to start the game with; said as much in the match thread!
