Always had a soft spot for Sarfend. I spent a good few years living in Wickford as a nipper (way back in 1957 and again in 1969), probably way before any of you were born! Happy memories (except for the floods!). My dad and sister are both buried in Wickford. My dad was a fan of Southend, although he came from Coventry.
