Princethorpe were the only team my school team ever came close to beating at hockey. And to get us almost back on topic..by the time I'd biked from Leamington to The New Windmill, I was almost in Princethorpe! It really couldn't be more in the middle of nowhere. Surely they'd get a few more fans if the ground was closer to town? Football in the countryside is lovely in the summer, but it must be hell on cold Tuesday nights in January.
He moved to cov when he was a kid joined the academy when he was about 12 I believe. All his family and friends live in cov and the last time I saw him was a couple of months ago when someone asked him who do you want to play for, to which he replied "are you serious?" and pointed at the Cov badge on my shirt
Sorry to bring this to the top for negative reasons, but I was trawling through looking for the "pointed at his badge" quote which stuck in my mind. I remember how we were eulogising about Gael after this pre-season game last year as it was the first time I guess, that most of us had seen Gael play.
