Two of the kids I teach came up to me earlier really excited about yesterday. It's all they would talk about. Had been a nightmare all morning due to the excitement. Earlier I dropped in letters written by them to Burge along with a few beers. Was genuinely touched by what he read. This is why yesterday was so important. I have Ndlovu, Babb, Chippo, Hadji, Nilsson, Dublin, Hucks, Keane etc. Those older than me have Jimmy Hill and 87. Late teens and early 20s have Old Trafford and the cup run up that finished in the QFs with a sold out Ricoh v Chelsea. The kids their age have had nothing. They finally have a memory worth remembering. Won't ever forget it too.

Good to see hand-written letters in this day and age. Also proves how kids look up to these players and the responsibility these players have. Who would have though Lee Burge would be someones hero. Ironically, Bill Glazier was my first hero.

Burge played well yesterday. He is still young by keeper standards.

Yes he has been nightmarish at times, but if he can learn from his mistakes fair play. Most of his problems seem to stem from lack of confidence (except kicking, that is poor).

Let's face it we have been poor defensively front to back, which can make anyone look bad.

One of the keys to success at Wembly was how we kept our shape. Often out of possession but our defensive shape remaned good.

Fair play!

Burge was a brick wall yesterday. Pleased for the lad.

Fair play CJ! Nice to see the kids being able to pass on their feelings and to be proud sky blues!!

I'm guessing you teach at Frederick Bird?

Great isn't it. Was in my 98-99 today and told my staff to wear City shirts too as I thought it was important the kids saw them. Shame Leicester broke up on Friday as I would've done those myself this week :) My business goes into loads of different schools doing sports, dance, art, literacy and numeracy. In FB 5 days a week at lunch times. Done PE and ASCs there too. The school is massive. One of the biggest in the country at Primary level. Kids are great, staff can't do enough for them and the head is superb.

It's amazing what a bit of focus and a lot of motivation did for Burge yesterday.

He even got his positioning correct, which is surprising.
