Lee has been named the captain for the upcoming season. I suppose this was pretty inevitable considering his experience and leadership qualities, also Aidy's many words of admiration for him.

I think it was the main reason for signing him. City have lacked leadership on the field for some time, and I think this showed itself in our indiscipline conceding so often just after we'd scored or at the end or start of a half.

yeah good choice ..... Boothroyd wants to get a good year out of him. Good leader and will break up attacks.

ppl are sayin he's old and past it but look what Dennis Wise did for us ... and Don Hutchinson didn't do 2 bad either.

I am glad he is captain. I know it probably would have been Wood or McPake otherwise but I think Carsley is much more experienced. Hopefully he will be like our version of Robbie Savage but better.

Quoted for truth! And Cars should so a job, Evertonians were saying that he'll give 110% and make everyone else do the same from first whistle to last so here's hoping! With the positive aura and experience of Cars and the positive and confidence boosting management of Boothroyd here's hoping something clicks and the players confidence will be boosted!
