Some rather sad news from the world of speedway, should anyone follow it. The ex-coventry bees rider Lee Richardson has died after an awful crash in the Polish leagues. He complained about leg pain, but suffered internal bleeding as well as an awful leg injury.
RIP Lee.

Terrible news, was a gentleman of speedway, great rider and always happy to give an honest interview after races. RIP, thoughts go out to his wife and children. Hopefully tomorrows meetings are cancelled

Yup, Coventry vs Lakeside has been cancelled as a mark of respect.
Feel sorry for lakeside, they must be devastated that they lost their captain, and such a great man.

Awful news.

Watched the crash yesterday, before it was announced that he had died, as there had been a lot of tweets saying how bad it was, and it was horrific.

The reaction from the speedway riders on twitter sums it up perfectly.

R.I.P Lee - Thoughts go out to his wife and 3 children.
