What a playerJust spoke to a mate who knows a few Leeds lads and apparently they are coming in big numbers despite their moderate allocation.
Not sure why they would do that really, yes its an important game but by no means their biggest of the season.
Yes probably a good chance it was Leeds fans singing We are Leeds, also heard Aston Villa fans once chanting Villa really loud walking down Gulson Rd...amazing!Back in the Highfield Road days, I remember a large mob of Leeds fans being escorted from the Gosford Green area around the back of the Spion Kop and all chanting - to the 'tune' of We are Leeds, (repeat) but with the words 'Get your coat, Get your coat, Get your coat' Thought at the time 'wtf is that all about?'' and wondered if my ears were mishearing the words (pretty certain it was, though)!
No, why would you want their fans twice as loud encouraging their team. Why do you think Southampton and Birmingham have reduced our allocations. None of the top teams give large allocations, they are in it to win it looking at the bigger picture.
If you re-read my post, that was not what they were singing. It was the slightly strange 'Get your coat' Anyway, your dripping sarcasm is duly noted.Yes probably a good chance it was Leeds fans singing We are Leeds, also heard Aston Villa fans once chanting Villa really loud walking down Gulson Rd...amazing!
I genuinely can’t think of anything worse than going on an away day without actually going to the match.
Spot on.i remember more of that dirty Leeds squad from the 1970s than any other apart from City. . Their fans still very much live off the success of that era . Horrible team. Clough never had a chance .Any others who grew up in the 70s will know that Leeds fans outnumbered us at school, usually by about 4 to 1 . And there will be more than a few turncoats amongst our ranks, who pretended they were Peter Lorimer every time they took a fierce shot, or Billy Bremner every time they won a tackle .
Back in the day, you were probably about as close to a Leeds fan as you were to a rat, in most cities , to use a fair comparison.
I make a point of correcting my 2 grandsons who come up the City with us now that the correct pronunciation is “Dirty Leeds”
Train strike so £130 for the bus replacement.'You got a ticket for Saturday?'
'No mate, you?'
'No, no joy? You want to come round mine, get a few beers and watch it on the stick?'
"I've got a better idea, let's travel down and follow it on Socer Saturday in Bedworth Wetherspoons"
'Nice one, I'm in, it's only £130 on the train'.
Not for a pint no. Hopefully Leeds don’t score but if they do it will be interesting to see if it’s just the away end celebrating. There won't , sorry , you can't genuinley believe that 1500 leeds fans will just come down for a pint
Then expect mass brawls , this isn't 1996Not for a pint no. Hopefully Leeds don’t score but if they do it will be interesting to see if it’s just the away end celebrating.
They would get filled in immediatelyNot for a pint no. Hopefully Leeds don’t score but if they do it will be interesting to see if it’s just the away end celebrating.
There will be none in the standard home end but I reckon there will be a fair number in hospitality especially the balcony. Then expect mass brawls , this isn't 1996
Interesting though how many Leeds fans have previous purchse history in the home end , which is what's required to buy tickets
There won't be any , now hospitality I can't guarantee
They're relatively safe up there , cov fans aren't arsed about leeds anymoreThere will be none in the standard home end but I reckon there will be a fair number in hospitality especially the balcony.
They would get filled in immediately
The mad hattersby who?
There's plenty of people who while not hooligan types will if provoked kick off with an away fa in the home end.by who?
Bravado yes, actual physical assault noThere's plenty of people who while not hooligan types will if provoked kick off with an away fa in the home end.
Meby who?
I can guarantee you any away fan in a coventry end won’t get out easily, blokes will be travelling across block just to get at them. One Leicester fan in the executive box had to be got out fast someone was climbing up at him.Bravado yes, actual physical assault no
ok, if you say so.Bravado yes, actual physical assault no
ClobberThis is a call to arms for all normal fans. The legion need you to get your best stone island clobber on and defend the city.
Guarantee eh ?I can guarantee you any away fan in a coventry end won’t get out easily, blokes will be travelling across block just to get at them. One Leicester fan in the executive box had to be got out fast someone was climbing up at him.
100% , why do you keep putting our fans down ? Weird tbhGuarantee eh ?
What an utterly stupid reply.100% , why do you keep putting our fans down ? Weird tbh
What you think would happen alan , just sit there shivering whilst the big bad leeds fans took the piss in our end like your generation used to let united do
It's not though , is it .What an utterly stupid reply.
So if there's a Leeds fan in the home end, someone is going to run across an entire block to get at them. Across loads of seated Cov fans no doubt screaming in a rabid state as he goes. It'll take them forever to get across by which time they'll be stopped or just too tired to be bothered to remove their Cov scarf from their wrist and strangle the offending Yorkshire to death. It's not though , is it .
