Anyone who had a testimonial? Can't think of many help me out here.
He was crap so ability means nothing then?
Konjic wasn't 'crap', he was an average defender. Had very good games and some poor ones too.
Noel Whelan was a bit of a legend.....
...not a bad footballer either.
Dublin will never be a legend to me idolised when here but left a very bad taste in his engineered move away so sorry but Judas is not a legend in my book.
Ndlouv however is, Roland Nillson was outstanding at RB but not here too long, Keane for the wonderful short stint he gave us at HR maybe.
What a great signing Noel was, absolute quality I remember Leeds fans going into melt down when he signed for us, he was "one of their own"
I would put him in the Legend bracket, along with Speedie both characters who liked a little mischieve.
Magnus Hedman was a legend to me as I stopped going for about a year at the end of Oggy's time as it was driving me crazy that the lumbering clown was still being picked and as soon as Hedman got his place I started going again.
Lumbering clown is a bit harsh, seems to be a fair bit of oggy bashing recently on here which is just a bit weird.
Towards the end as I think we kept him in goal for too long as he couldn't cope with the back pass rule
I am told he is a good coach though
Personally for me, genuine "legends" have been few and far between. Since supporting City, "my" legends have been Tommy Hutch, Lloyd McGrath and David Thompson
You forgot Dublin
Hutch,Oggy,Peake . Definitely
Nillson,Speedy,McGrath,Keane ,Killer etc . Maybe
Always loved Brian Borrows me'self
No, i didn't.You forgot Dublin
Richard Shaw actually
George Boetang was another great player for us,but another
not here long enough.
A legend to me (though I hate the term) would be someone who played for us for a long time, significantly contributed to our success, and then either managed the club or worked on the coaching staff. So that would be George Curtis, Peter Sillett, Bobby Gould and Steve Ogrizovic. There might be others I've forgotten.
Dublin will never be a legend to me idolised when here but left a very bad taste in his engineered move away so sorry but Judas is not a legend in my book.
72 goals in 170-odd games. The most influential player (by quite some way) of our PL era. Sky Blue Legend every day of the week.
as a side note, is Fleck our current "longest serving" player ?
