Saw this rumour on BBC Football gossip section yesterday, and wouldnt be surprised.
He was one of England's finest, but has extremely dodgy hamstrings. It would disappoint me if he lowered his standards for purely mercenary reasons, by joining 'The Vermin'!!!
This would totally sour my view of him. On the plus side,if the fools continue to invest without progress, maybe they will over stretch again, but this time a points penalty would apply.
On the other hand, a friend of mine has informed that the financing by The Thai's is not infinite and rumours abound that certain persons involved may have recently had assets suspended or seized.
I can in no way prove this, but what i can say is that the integrity and honesty of my informant is beyond question. Whilst i would not wish for the liquidation of any football club, i do think that those who get into totally unsustainable levels of debt, chasing the dream, should live by the sword , and die by the sword.
