Well thats the end to that then. No chance of him coming here when money bags sufc are now after him. Anyone else starting to dislike sufc and unless sisu are prepared to throw a bit of money at TM instead of a sandwich and a packet of nuts to bargain with how are we supposed to compete for the better players

Makes it all the more sweet when they choke every season after spending millions. Becoming the Man City of League 1 but obviously on a much more of a minuscule level.

Frustrating more than anything that we aren't competing. Maddison money? The promise that money was to be re-invested in the team with any attendance over 11,000. Another load of bollocks sprinkled over us by the scum.

We've had the best out of the sulky tit anyhow.....got him for free, scored bags of goals for us & then we sold him for a shed-load of cash to wolves....who he was shit for.

I would happily have him back
Regardless of him moving on previously, he will score goals in this league for us

However I doubt we can compete with the wages Sheffield can offer

Dont sisu realise that by investing in the team to gain promotion they will earn a lot more in promotion to the championship including bigger crowds, tv revenue and sponsorship. To get out of this league you need a striker who can score goals regulary and whoever they are they aren't cheap unless you can find a raw gem like arma. Sometimes you need to bite the bullet and spend the cash to get whats needed. Unfortunately our owners would rather spend it on court fees

I would prefer experience but in his case i'd worry about his commitment to checking his banking ap over the sucess of the team.

oh fuck off

we had a top 6 budget last year and finished 8th. Is that an issue with investment? Or did we fuck it up?

Crying every time a team spunks a load of money at players that we can't (and damn well shouldn't) match is pathetic. We're not owned by millionaires/billionaires who care enough about football to throw money at it with no hope of a return or sustainability....like 95% of the rest of the football league! Get over it. We need to live within our means....and our means are a lot bigger than the majority of this league, and our league position needs to start reflecting that.

Analysis? Nope, feel free to copy and paste though as I honestly haven't read it...

My initial point was to jhfc's post of 'we got a shed load of cash' and that it was never re-invested nor did we source a replacement. The same can be said when Juke was shipped off to Middlesbrough and we were subsequently relegated from the Championship. When Clarke and Wilson were no more, what almost happened the following season? Survived by the skin of our teeth. Irrespective of whether we were 'living within our means' whilst 'forced' to play in Shitfields, the owner was more than able to provide additional funding in the form of a gift. It's not like she hasn't got it, we see how much is constantly wasted pointless court cases.

I'm not too bothered if Sheff Utd do want him. He will want away by January and will then hope to secure his eleventy billioneth move to another club.

I don't re-call whining about it. I do however re-call pointing out to you - quite calmly I might add - that the shed load of money you claim that the club received wasn't reinvested. A point for debate, or basis of opinion. Not an opportunity for you to begin acting Johnny big bollocks on an Internet forum and that all you say is gospel.

So what if SISU say they aren't willing to put more money in? Does that make it okay in how they've treated us? Should we just accept that now? What is their purpose if we are to be 'self sufficient'? Valid questions?

I inserted a '?' did I not? Any need for 'clown' or attempted sarcasm?

January just gone? If you were, I agree but my statement was regarding previous seasons. 'Good effort though'

My initial response was to simply point out that the money was clearly reinvested......ticket money & transfer fees are our 2 main income streams....just cos we didn't go out & spend exactly £750K on a new striker doesn't mean the cash didn't get put into the club & squad.
I've said nothing that I need to prove as "gospel"......its basic, obvious facts that have been stated.....you know....those old chesnuts...

...anyhow....can't believe I got sucked into this pointless petty thread about a journeyman ex-player in the first place.....

It's warranted too many responses from us both already. We shall agree to disagree on this point and move on. Enjoy your day sir.

Sensible question now. Are there any other clubs in this league or above whos owners arnt prepared to put any money in their club and openly state that the club must be self funding.

I personaly cant see why sisu want to own a football club when they have no interest in making it sucesfull.
Whats the reason for wanting to own us ?
