The problem there was we had 1 upfront and when it went long we couldn't win a second ball Leon was Isolated so their two centre backs vertically played centre midfield any manager with half a brain cell would of gone 4-4-2 to change the pattern shame Carsley was so blind to why the hole ground seen and the Swindon team and that's coming from one of their players
Individually you're talking about. A striker might click with Leon and form a potent partnership. I'm afraid you cannot know for sure that won't happen, and I'd give it a try. I don't care if it's 4-4-2, 5-3-2 etc, as long as it counteracts what the opposition are doing.
Question, what do you think Cody would add to the team if he was to be played upfront with Leon? Would he be worth starting ahead of Bailey, Moussa, Barton (who has more goals), Fleck (same goals and more assists), McSheffrey (yeah I said it), CT4, Jennings or Baker (2nd top goal scorer and top assister and captain)? That's what it comes down to.
I think the team should be more proactive than reactive, concentrate on ourselves first, then concentrate on the opposition, unless a team is massively better than us, which there aren't in this league, then we don't really need to change anything if the team is successful tactics wise. Counteracting can be too reactive at times.

You're right, might is the key word. That's why I said I'd give it a try. And if it doesn't work then so be it.
Yes. I'd start him in front of a number of those to give him a try I'm afraid. Those players have not done it at home so I'd have no worries about any if them being dropped to try out a new system. That's how football works.
"With the ball, I look for a fluency and a, 'ya know (kind of stutters), a system that allows players to retain and play in between the lines and promote fullbacks forward" - direct quote from Pressley, check for yourself, after he asked about formations, and what he said, doesn't translate to 4-4-2, on the bright side for you, it might mean 3-5-2/5-3-2
I did hear things, the things I heard was Pressley's voice.
