Well written, well thought through and challenging to reader and to all parties concerned.
Having read the whole thing with an open mind and leaving my prejudices and partisan feelings aside...I agree with him.
'That was then...this is now' - can be extended to 'it's NOW or never'
I have a horrible feeling if annimosities are not put aside and pride duly swallowed in order to do some sort of deal now...then we aint seen nothing yet in terms of the wheels coming off for all parties to the detriment of the club we all love (irrespective of our views).
DO A DEAL.

His argument appears to be that SISU are more powerful than the council. SISU can ride it out until they get their own way but the council can't.
So the council gives SISU what they wanted all along.
He completely ignores the fact the council can get out of professional football altogether by redeveloping the stadium.

Just a small problem with selling the freehold to CCFC/SISU - ACL still have a lease on it for the next 40 years and with it the rights to income. So just doing a deal on the freehold is not going to do it.
Yes - which is why ACL should be sold to ccfc. If sisu want the freehold they can buy that later when everybody are friends again.
will sisu come up with the readies at the market price ?Yes - which is why ACL should be sold to ccfc. If sisu want the freehold they can buy that later when everybody are friends again.
That would seem to imply that the deal needs to be fair on all sides to be accepted with no lasting ill will - would it be? Could it be?
It appears the overwhelming public opinion in Coventry is that all sides must come together to "sort it out" - for the good of club and city.

assuming that CCFC could buy into the income streams of the site - not just from football - why does the club need the freehold?
If it had a low rental long lease and ownership of IEC is the freehold necessary for the club?
the owners are here long term we are told and lets be honest most people would gloss over the dispute if the team was successful. Isnt what the club needs, the income streams?
The reason that makes the freehold absolutely essential for the club above all else is ?

he also goes on to say SISU/Otium must/should own the Ricoh ............ why must/should they ?
And why cant SISU sell CCFC to ACL and anyway who are CCFC are we not otium now cause they bought CCFC out of admin
[/QUOTE]NO they should be given it for free if some on the posters on here had there way, after all look at all the good they have done for our Club

It is utterly bizarre that The Telegraph were (are?) calling for Sisu Out for moving us to Northants; and then their Political Editor comes out and says sell the Ricoh to Sisu!!...
Les Reid has clearly been in the pro-Sisu camp (along with Nkki Sinclaire and a clique of twitter headbangers) for some time. I think he is way out of touch.
The alternative most want is Sisu to sell up, get out-- get in a professional business and start afresh.
One of the most depressing aspects of the entire saga has been the attempt by some fans to brand as "biased" or "pro-Sisu" anyone who sees this as a multi-faceted dispute in which all parties must be challenged. The accusation comes from some involved in the "Not One Penny More" campaign - which remains a "Let's Starve Sisu Out" campaign, despite its recently stated preference for the more conciliatory name, "Keep Cov in Cov"
It's funny how somebody who has conversed with individuals involved on all sides and had access to documents not many of us on here has, can be branded "out of touch".
If he's "out of touch" with the general level of lunacy on here he's probably doing alright.
