The more Wasps rebrand the stadium the more likely our medium to long term future lies away from the Ricoh, whoever our owners are. Time for some to start accepting that, and for the fans to start putting pressure on the council to find us a site within the city.

It ain't ever going to happen, regardless of who our owners are. Time for some to start excepting that.
I'm going to relish the farts I bury deep into my seat this season.
excepting what?
If you believe that we can be sustainable and successful above mid-table League 1 whilst playing at the Ricoh then you are massively deluded.
No offence Stu, but that's just words. It doesn't mean anything. It's all well and good talking about in an ideal world, but we are very much entrenched in reality. The more Wasps rebrand the stadium the more likely our medium to long term future lies away from the Ricoh, whoever our owners are. "...I'll never knowingly give any support to Wasps while they are here" - have you thought this through? It appears you are saying you will NOT be watching any 'home' games, because by paying the entry price...that provides the funds for SISU to pay the rent for us playing in THEIR stadium.Seeing all of those logos for a franchise rugby team with no connection to the city, at the home for the football team, makes my skin crawl personally.
I don't think the day will ever come when I'll accept it, and I'll never knowingly give any support to Wasps whilst they're here.
No one here, absolutely no one, knows what the future holds for the club - so I can't see why anyone would say the best policy is to 'accept it'.
I hope whoever our owners are they're not so meek as to quietly accept a future for the club as subordinate tenants to a franchise rugby club. I'm surprised that so many fans here are, but then I guess it's all about opinions.
Objectively, as owners of the stadium it's exactly what they should be doing.

How can we accept our future lies away from the Ricoh when there's nowhere to go, no money to build and an owner who is only looking for a return on their investment.
If there IS somewhere to go and there IS money, then why the hell has nothing ever happened. It's all a nonsense. Empty rhetoric.
We have a place to play, it's here in Coventry and we simply need to focus on that instead of listening to empty promises from an owner who doesn't even want to be here.

I don't know why, despite the evidence to the contrary, people still believe that the deal Wasps had was ever on offer to SISU.
SISU were negotiating to buy out the Higgs share, the outstanding loan and to extend the lease to 125 years.
All you're really saying there is that Wasps owners are better negotiators than our owners.
Can I keep nicking the tomato sauce sachets?
As a fan who used to absolutely love going to HR the atmosphere, the build up to the game and then going to a game with many fanatics, banter with the opposition keeper, banter with away followings, majority of the time it was a fun day win lose or draw.
To now going to a souless 75% empty shell of a stadium with little activity before the match, little walk up, lack of atmosphere, miles from the pitch, miles from away followings, sitting their looking around at empty seats, and a distinct lack of Coventry City signs around the stadium, with Wasps logos scattered around everywhere, it makes me sick to the stomach to see what has been allowed to happen to the fans of what was once a great club but is still on a life support machine.
For me the Ricoh has never ever felt like home from day one. I go because I love to watch my team play, but I despise the Ricoh, hence I travel away games frequently as it least theirs an atmosphere of some sort.

All you're really saying there is that you want a Wasps tattoo on your arse.
All you're really saying there is that Wasps owners are better negotiators than our owners.
Not really. But if it's easier for you to believe that than accept our owners have failed you knock yourself out.
The council were always clear about retaining their shareholding in ACL, the court papers even talked about one of their concerns about SISU distressing the YB loan was that it'd make ACL vulnerable to a 100% takeover.
You just keep your fingers in your ears though eh, there's a good lad.
Not surprised you don't understand the meaning of my post to be honest. Carry on.
AT CovCity4Life - Careful hes part of the trust and he will negotiate for you to be burned to death at the next Wasps match whilst he is in his Wasps top and scarf
My point was serious. You were just fishing for some likes. Does that sound about right?
No. I was mimicking your ridiculous post with an equally ridiculous post to show you were talking bollocks. It is the case that Wasps are better negotiators but that clearly wasn't what he was saying. It's a relatively straight forward thing to grasp. It's fascinating how quickly it turned into "you don't think Sisu did anything wrong". Truly fascinating.
