They'll be loads of players going on loan and being released from contracts over the next few days. The club might well have a bit of money to bring one or two free agents in. It could well be that the next signing we make will get us up this season.

I take your point but we are going to struggle to find young gems up front for us. Was just thinking of someone who could play straight up front off Armstrong and provide him with some protection and knock ons?

Doesn't matter If any players get released now, as you can't sign a player on a free contract who has had their contract terminated outside of the transfer window.
So can only get those already unattached, and loan players (which we don't need any more of tbh)
