Tonight, again, we are all very proud sky blues fans....can we all just forget our petty disagreements and be grateful that somehow we've fallen on our feet and bagged a manager who seems to be some kind of magician...he's turned some very ordinary, hugely under achieving players into possibly the best performing team in the division....extra-ordinary !
Agree with the sentiment entirely. Hartlepool away was the turning point for me and since then I've actually enjoyed watching city for the first time in ages. MK dons is going to be another great SBA trip. I'm also not sure how as city fans we've become divided between pro and anti acl/sisu. None of the parties involved are particularly covering themselves in glory. I don't think there can be many city fans who wouldn't agree that: Robins is the best thing to happen to us in a long while; CCFC needs to start moving in a positive direction; and we're all sick to death of the never ending off the field stuff. City fans being divided just plays into the hands of those engaging in brinkmanship with the future of CCFC. Supporters are always going to disagree about things but if we could unite in saying we want efforts off the pitch to match the progress on it, that's a pretty simple message to hammer home to acl, sisu, the council, higgs and anyone else.
Here here, i second that, were marching up the league, lets just be grateful and and support are beloved club,, c'mon U skybluessss, mk gonna get smashed i
When we all just want to enjoy our current run of excellent form, sadly it seems, Covcity4life just wants to carry on the arguing, and attempt to ruin the good atmosphere of our team doing so well.
Not really living up to your pseudonym my friend.
I don't see much Petty Bickering on here, what I do see is Fans giving an honest view of their concerns about the mess, and it is a mess, regarding the off the field dispute between Club and ACL. The turn arround on the pitch has been nothing short of amazing and we are emerging as genuine playoff contenders..If we can continue our present form.
To consider the debate About the Dispute as mere petty bickering or a no go area, is in the Ostrich...Head.....Sand Area, It is fair to consider all aspects, positive and negative, worth debating, after all this is a forum, and not a hymn sheet, we are entitled to heap praise on the team and manager at the moment, But there are a lot of issues off pitch that cannot be ignored or swept under the carpet,
Some positivity is nice (and well earned), and i'm all for intelligent debate, but it's no fun just hearing negative criticisms and personal insults being hurled around by both sides of the argument, who both state there own 'facts'
Yes things are in dire straits behind the scenes, but realistically we have no control over them, and know little 'facts' from inside the club.
Yep. probably 80% conjecture. Especially with all the figures that are regularly banded about, about player fees and wages and how much money Sisu have or haven't got etc.
Definitely don't want to sweep things under the carpet. OSB is a great example of a poster who provides excellent informed comments but what seems to have happened is a lot of people have become polarised between 'it's all ACL's fault' or 'it's all sisu's fault'. Discussion does then seem to be about supporting one side or other, rather than trying to work out what is actually going on, possible scenarios that might emerge and - most importantly - if we as supporters can do anything to get the different parties to reach a solution.
