Stated on another thread just a few days ago I think life is prevalent all around the universe. It now appears we've found it (or the telltale signs it did exist) on our nearest neighbour and in the past they've found similar signs on Mars, our other nearest neighbour.
Not overly surprising life existed on Venus as in the past it's widely believed to have been very similar to Earth, but when it lost it's atmosphere and the solar radiation got through it fried the place. Hotter than Mercury and more toxic now. Sadly it's likely this is the future of this planet. But not for billions of years yet so lets enjoy it while we can!
