Yes Mark I did! Still of the opinion that refs favour bigger teams I don't think it's coincidence that struggling teams get so many decisions wrong against themSeen Burnley's disallowed goal in the game on now? So ridiculously soft.
Always think with these soft decisions in favour of defenders in the box the ref should ask themselves if they'd give it as a penalty if it was the other way round. Think we know the answer on that one.Yes Mark I did! Still of the opinion that refs favour bigger teams I don't think it's coincidence that struggling teams get so many decisions wrong against them
If it had been the other way around Liverpool would have been writing a letter of complaint to the FA.I Watched the game and find it incredulous that the Referee can make such an error which effects the game outcome. 2 minutes into extra time and Liverpool defender starts shithousing (no foul given by tye ref) just plain old shithousinhg in his area and Forest were in full flow attacking and the ref stops the game as Forest had possession of the ball and just about to send a cross into the box. The Ref restarts the game and gives the free ball to Liverpool!!!!!!... who subsequently sent the ball up into the Forest area and got a corner which produced a freekick that Nunes scored from. Bloody disgraceful, I bet Paul Teirney gets done and demoted down to the championship and we have the tosser doing one of our matches.
Would Liverpool have scored if forest were rightly given the ball?I don’t accept the error meant they lost
It was a mistake though
It wouldn’t have happened the other way around. If it had been the other way around Liverpool would have been writing a letter of complaint to the FA.
Think we all know the answer to that Nick. The decision the referee took was more than a mere error, and the 4th official should have intervened to tell him he was making a mistake at such a crucial point.Would Liverpool have scored if forest were rightly given the ball?
That famous big club bias from referees to disallow a goal for……Real Madrid? Here's another one
Must admit I don't get all the outrage. There have been much worse examples of poor referring this season.I don’t accept the error meant they lost

Would Liverpool have scored if forest were rightly given the ball?
My point is the shit Premier league refs who screw up get sent down to the championship where they are equally shit with their decision making. Think when Anthony Taylor did our game and apologised to Robins for making an error on Mcfadz and awarded a penalty kick.Must admit I don't get all the outrage. There have been much worse examples of poor referring this season.
MaybeWould Liverpool have scored if forest were rightly given the ball?
Some of what I’ve read on this is just wrongThat famous big club bias from referees to disallow a goal for……Real Madrid?

Nobody knows. Every single decision, right or wrong, has an effect on subsequent events. The pattern of play changes. The ref made a mistake, but I think Liverpool's goal was so much later that the goal cannot be directly attributed to the error. And I believe he made a simiilar mistake earlier, but in Forest's favour.Would Liverpool have scored if forest were rightly given the ball?
And they say VAR is there to help the referee's, so why didn't they say too the referee, it's a Forest drop ball.
So what about the 4th official? Or are they just even more a complete waste of space than the average linesperson?Because they would be officiating from St George's park....
People can't complain that VAR doesn't work and then ask it get involved with such menial decisions, it's a human game, errors happen. People are searching for perfect officiating, it's not possible.
So what about the 4th official? Or are they just even more a complete waste of space than the average linesperson?
Did he see it? Or was he busy? The 4th official is probably the busiest of the 4 (if used correctly which may not be the case) I don't know, I'm not him, but it take an exceptional official to overrule the referee from the touchline as very easy to be distracted.
Not part of the remit most likelyAnd they say VAR is there to help the referee's, so why didn't they say too the referee, it's a Forest drop ball.
I suppose that’s just two mistakes really lolThe ref would have been well within his rights to give a free-kick to Liverpool anyway for the ludicrously high challenge by Yates.
Who would get the blame then?
Unintended consequencesThey're not allowed to overrule the ref anyway, only advise.
"it is expected that referees will only seek assistance from the Fourth
Official in respect of significant match changing incidents which have been missed by the other three match
officials and which are clearly visible to the Fourth Official. Such incidents are:
- red card offences
- yellow card offences
- penalty area offences"
When the Laws of the Game were written, they have always (rightly) been designed so that the Referee was the sole arbiter & their decision was final.
Unfortunately, with the introduction of VAR, this has been undermined & we now see fans, pundits etc. micro analysing (from multiple angles, in slow motion) even the smallest of decisions from a throw in to a corner/goal kick given the wrong way & just scream corruption if every single decision doesn't go the way they want. What was claimed to "assist" referees is actually leading to a very toxic atmosphere against them.
Every time Celtic have a man sent off is good newsThought the celtic sending off was dire today too
Poor decisions for both pens and sending off.Every time Celtic have a man sent off is good news
And a candle lit vigilIf it had been the other way around Liverpool would have been writing a letter of complaint to the FA.
