Can't remember the year but we drew 4-4 with Brum on our first ever game on a Sunday.

Although it nearly always ended in heartache - Villa. I was brought up to hate the villa. The rivalry is quite fierce as my uncle and auntie and cousins are villa ST holders.
The 3-0 Boxing Day win was my all time fave, what a great Christmas present, followed by us eventually beating them at Villa park.

Forest and Leicester, always aggro when Forest came to Highfield Rd, remember going to Filbert St about 1985 over Christmas lost 5-1 must of been 8000 city at the game, fighting everywhere. Ah the good old days!

I think it was 2008 when we beat Leicester 2-1 at the Ricoh. The Leicester game is always more important to me as im a Coventry fan and my Mum and Brother both support Leicester. My Dad was born here but he doesn't follow the city, so its down to me to keep the sky blue flag flying high in our household

I think it was 85-86 season. the one before we won the cup and I think Sillett had taken over as caretaker boss.
I recall Nick Pickering had not long joined us and played fantastically in this game. Did he score a couple?
This point and three against Southampton when we won 3-2 when 2-0 down at half time kept us up.

Not much in it between Leicester and Villa. If we played Villa again there would be a sort of 'absence makes the heart grow less fond' judging by what I've heard from Villa fans who miss playing us.

was that the morning kick-off about 11 on a Sunday? If so it was after they had been to us and a couple of hundred had got into the top of the West Stand and when they were escorted out it became mayhem. It actually kicked off when they threw beer over George Curtis's daughter and her boyfriend fronted them.
Never seen so many people on the pitch. Afterwards was absolute chaos around the ground probably the largest scale trouble (in terms of numbers) I ever saw at Highfield road. Mind you every other game there seemed to be a pitch invasion as the novelty of us having no fences hadn't worn off then.

Not realy "hate" more of a banter thing in the office, or on the message boards.
Villa for me too, as it was the only real constant derby when I was younger. Leicester as second as I know a few of their lot.
Pity they both couldn't lose yesterday

'Twas a great occasion and one that will always stay in the memory. Our first two goals were met with a pitch invasion from all the kids that were around the perimeter of the pitch and the referee had it announced that if the pitch was invaded again then he would abandon the game. We scored again.......and nobody crossed the line, fantastic.
However, before this game us and Wolves were both already promoted. This was in our case courtesy of another midweek game elsewhere. The championship wasn't settled until the very last game of the season when Wolves lost away to Crystal Palace and we beat Millwall 3 - nil at Highfield Road.

Villa away for me with Viorel Moldovan scoring the only goal of the game. Fa cup I think, they were gutted!
I went to all these games mentioned. I'm sure Gerry Daly scored first for us in that 5-1 reverse at Leicester. The hatred from the Leicester morons that day was incredible ! Made for a good atmosphere in the 'pens' though behind the goal ! I'm sure that was the day a few of our lads went in their old 'East Stand' end on the side too !

There speaks the voice of youth................... never had the chance to experience the good times (and the bad), The only thing was, you had to get stuck in else the other fans would walk all over you, and that couldn't be allowed to happen. I remember coming out into Swan Lane and some festa fans had got through the cordon and we were just starting it, but that big copper(forget his name) and about 4 more came up and they all ran like scared rabbits. Great times.:claping hands:

Remember a few of the games mentioned on here (I'm 41). I cannot pick out one as in my early days loved the days of Forest at home and Villa away and then more recently Leicester. Specific games though that really stick out are the Villa boxing day at home, Mickey Quinn brace. 4-2 at home to Leicester mid 90's i think (won over £200 on the score), 1-0 at Villa with Moldovan scoring after a mazy run from Boateng resulted in keeper palming it out and Forest at home 5-4. As people have said, top days out and great memories with fun and games in and out of the ground.

Edit: just to clear up, we have a song with 3 clubs names in. We don't hate them, they're random "big name" clubs. You could've done that!

Yes but Forest and Derby do not give a flying f**k about Leicester either
Love the way how you make out you don't care about us but still manage to come on here whenever anything associated with Leicester is mentioned.
