To be fair I was a little dissapointed when I heard Kev does go, but like most I have come to terms with people going now. Emotions were high at the start of he season and most have relaxed their stance on everything a little bit.
To be fair I thought it was commonplace for home fans to be outsung by away fans?
The attendance thing is a valid argument though. Whether you want to gloss it over by saying it is locals and free tickets or not, 1900 for a weekend home game is pitiful.
Don't really care if they bring Mariah Carey to sing as long as we win!
I fairness Nick, they should be bothered. FFP means that squad expenditure is linked to turnover. So, if you've got the lowest gates in the league...
http://espnfc.com/stats/attendance/_/league/eng.3/english-league-one?cc=5739
.... you've probably got to resign yourself that subsequent squad expenditure will be the lowest in the league; leaving us wide open to subsequent relegation. And let me emphasise - to the fourth tier of English football.
If you want to talk 'sad', I personally think it's more 'sad' that folk are prepared to gloss over this, and just go along blindly offer limp excuse that they're simply 'supporting the lads'
I dont quite know what has been said to be honest, you might have to enlighten me on that one.
You did say only 100 - 200 paying customers I ask for the third time please provide evidence.
So there was no protest. Apart from Torchomatic sticking 6 posters up.
Well done you Sixfielders, you really let Fisher & co know didn't you.
Your photos should be in the Telegraph, a rogues gallery. Shame on you all.

Well Kev Monks - who it seems now attends - is apparently, Spionkop:
I hope Astute and all the others who were grilling Grendel yesterday for going do the same to Spionkop.
When did this come about? Is it 100% fact that he is?
Have I been hiding under a rock ...........
There is no excuse, people want to go and watch a football match so they do. When people's first question about a game is "how many are/were there" it just shows that fans would rather get one over on SISU than win the match.
I don't think he is, I think it is wind up

Ah, a very nice side-step of the bigger issue.
Fisher stated his crowd expectations at the forums. He got it terribly, terribly wrong. They knew the risks with regards depressed gates when moving, and pushed on anyway. The evidence I gave you is compelling. The gates you say shouldn't be in people's thoughts should be. Even if we move back to the Ricoh, Old Trafford or the San Siro for that matter, we're buggered; and you should be vocal in decrying the actions that gave rise to it
Hook, line and sinker.FFS. How was I meant to know. I really do hate this fucking forum sometimes.
I have never said he was right did I?
I should do whatever I want to be fair, you should stop telling people what they should and shouldn't do. Very much like Italia horse the other week who walked past loads of people "cosying up" to Tim Fisher and said how they should have been doing this and saying this, but just walked past without doing the things he expects others to do.
You are saying that people shouldn't be going on about gates though - aren't you? This season is lost. Winning or losing is now pretty much irrelevant to the bigger picture - we're not going up nor down. But gates and turnover are of vital importance to subsequent year's potential performance; and anyone dismissing their worth is delusional

The gates are very relevant. One to get an idea of how many Cov fans are genuinely actually attending. This information is important if groups or representatives are in the future making points to MP's or the FL about the amount of Cov fans that are missing out.
Secondly it is important to know how many paying customers attend so you can get an idea how much it is costing Coventry City to be at Sixfields.
Again this is important to aid any discussion with SISU in the future so these discussions are far more meaningful.
The Grendel side show is just about him misquoting me as he often does when he has a weak argument, bit like gutter journalism
Anyway the point is the actual figure of Cov fans attending the Ricoh could be far lower than we are led to believe
No, people have always talked about gates. I am talking about when people's FIRST question is about the gate, not the result, not the team or the actual FOOTBALL.
Unless of course we get a waiver on FPP rules due to the false position we are in.

Oh, feck me. Some more finger crossing. Let's ask, hope, then sue the football league too, eh?
Brilliant. Simply brilliant
I think some people will do anything to not actually talk about football, it must be since Thorn has gone but as they backed him so much they try not to talk about the football as that is their weak point.
Yeah, yeah, yeah - the usual crappy diatribe from those who offer limp excuse to their attendance at a third-rate little stadium in the middle of nowhere.
Have you not got the intelligence to think through the sequence of events? The crowds influence turnover, which influences squad expenditure which influences subsequent results, teams and the actual football. The very thing you claim people should be primarily discussed upon will be decimated by the events you don't wish to face up to. We have been relageted once, and current events are leading us to the very door of another relegation.
It should be their FIRST question, as right now, it's a much, much bigger picture than one Sunday's game (yes, Sunday game) against Shrewsbury bloody Town. I am frankly astonished by the myopia of some
If you want to discuss weak points; losing a debate so profoundly as to change the issue back to an irrelevant, well-trodden path is a pathetic way to wave the white flag.....
I'm very confident this will happen.
No, it is just another thing you were totally wrong about.
I have at no point said that attendances aren't important, I said that it is sad when it is fans FIRST question before the result.

I think the only side show is you making up a number on paying customers. Still you make up lots if stuff - £5 million if we kept juke, thorn is so talented he gets teams an extra 10 points, McDonald scores goals when he plays all made up.
You were confident we'd not leave the Ricoh. Care for me to go back and quote you?
As such, I'll take a leave on your projections, if you don't mind dear chap. Their lack of accuracy is akin to Fisher's projections, which tend to leave a sour taste
