I have a Toyota Avensis 2007 and it has SatNav Radio system which is not working.
After an alternator change the system stopped reading the system boot dvd disk which would re-enable the audio system and its satnav so therefore I am assuming it could be the dvd lens that is the problem.
Googled everywhere about how to fix it but no luck.
As I have no clue. Can someone recommend me a decent and reasonable priced audio repair service or anyone who is competent and fixes auto audio systems around Coventry and Warwickshire.
The car is getting old now and a new system from eBay when I checked is pretty pricy. The problem is that I belive the issue is not major. I believe the laser lens probably need cleaning and normal cd cleaner disk does not do the job.
Last time when I first bought the car, I took it to a place in Bham where a new circuit board was installed and it only cost me £25 plus vat but that place is now closed down.
