Loza back at Norwich (2 Viewers)

Played tonight for their development side. Leaves us very light up front with Manset injured (and fat). Hope there is some truth in the paper stories linking us with Nouha Dicko from Wigan. He would give us a different option.

Difficult - a third striker will have to wait for an injury or suspension to get a game.
There is no way we will be dropping one of our strikers in the foreseeable future.

Could not understand why Loza came - there is no way he was going to get a game regardless how good he is.

It is great when you have two strikers scoring every week, yes difficult for anyone else to break through.....but you still need cover.

This situation is no good for someone coming on loan. What we need is a development player in the squad, might already have someone I don't know.

Is Loza not on a youth loan? That means he can play for both reserve/youth teams during loan period. It is difficult but with Manset not fancied by Pressley and Maund still learning, we need the extra bodies and the fact that Loza hasn't made the Norwich first team yet means he's more likely to appreciate some minutes around a first team squad.

I am wondering if Pressley was having a good look at Loza maybe for the future, can't think of any other reason to bring him in.

Purely back up, though I would of put a academy play on bench. cheaper and benefits us more

Deffo worth getting another striker in if Loza has gone back ... Callum Wilson is now on 4 yellow cards so a ban may be approaching :(

What's Shaun Jeffers up to? On second thoughts, forget that.

SP now quoted as saying he wants to extend Lozar's loan.

I know he scored for OUR U21's the other day but can't see where he played for Norwich?

Coventry City boss Steven Pressley is due to speak to Norwich manager Chris Hughton with a view to extending Jamar Loza’s loan for a second month.
The 19-year-old striker has been limited to just one senior substitute appearance for the Sky Blues during his initial 28-day stint but Pressley has been impressed by the teenager in training and Under-21 games and would like to keep him as first team cover for the hottest strike partnership in the league.

Loza’s loan officially expires tomorrow but Coventry let him go back early on Tuesday so that he could play in the Premier League Under-21 Cup for the Canaries against Arsenal.

The nippy forward went on as a 53rd-minute substitute in the 1-0 defeat by the Gunners.
Frustrated French striker Mathieu Manset – the man Loza has replaced on the bench at Coventry – is still searching for a loan club in order to get first-team football.

a true sky blue legend, gutted to see him go
good look and hopefully we can build a statue of you one day.

Sarcasm the lowest form of wit. What an appalling attitude to a young developing footballer.

He hasn't even had a chance to prove his worth, up against the two top scorers in League 1. No doubt covcity4life has seen this lad turn up for training every day, has a full assessment of his attitude, ability and potential.

Absolutely pathetic.

I understand sarcasm completely. Unfortunately you don't understand wit. The player in question has done nothing to merit criticism or your low form of humour.

Why should I be offended?

He's made a couple of sub appearances already. Be interesting to follow his progress.

Watched Jeffers play last week (went to Posh v Dag & Red). Came on for around 10 mins. Didn't touch the ball until a few seconds before full time when an easy-to-control pass bounced off his leg. Posh fans weren't that impressed by his contribution so far but are giving him a chance as he hasn't had much game time yet. Zavon Hines played for D & R. His pace is good but spent too much time throwing himself on the floor.

but you just dont get it do you? there was no criticism

it was a joke with fellow fans about how little he played for first team, nothing to do with his quality.

you get offended so easily, that's weird mate.
