Hope they go down and if we sent them down it would be a bit of justice. Still they will be happy as they will have a shiny new ground in one of the countries biggest shit holes.

Fuck them, the amount of them who were already outside the ground before their team had even lifted the trophy that day was amazing

Hope their nice new stadium looks good in the lower leagues

I don't get these replies, they finished higher in the league than us and beat us on the day fair and square. I'm still gutted about it but the best team won. I couldn't give a toss whether they get relegated or not.
This is how i feel now but then i look at Pete's reply and realise i have a very real dislike of Bristol City and Sheffield United because they beat us in the cup probably decades ago 🤣

I had a facebook pop up of the SF goal that wasnt yesterday - Didnt realise was a full 1 minute 50 before it was disallowed (and probably 1.30 before the ref indicated an issue) , and both teams were fully lined up to kick off again . Clear and obvious , Im much more bitter about that than Luton - albeit Gus stays fit and we win that aswell

I don't hold a grudge against them specifically but I was a bit disappointed that their "minnow" status got all the airtime and our complete resurrection from all the chaos and despair of the last ~20 years to that point didn't get much of a mention.

Eh? They'd come from non league to get promoted, their decline was far greater than ours in reality. 30 point deduction at one point.

I know, just felt we deserved a bit more.

I don't think neutrals would have realised we got promoted from L2 in the same season and they actually got to the championship before us, and had been in/around the playoffs for a few seasons while we basically came from nowhere.

Justice? We didn't really turn up other than a little furry just before and after Hamer scored, no one elses fault but our own

The players spent 3 days on the piss after the Boro game ffs

They felt like a waste of time in the prem it always felt like we would have made an effort and we probably bought some better players stopping down than they did going up. The few they got were an attempt to get back up rather than stop up (so I am glad they are failing at that). Also in Morris they have an appalling cheat who I despise and could have gone on my hated sportsman’s list.

Exactly. They were the better of two poor teams in the final, and of the three teams apart from ourselves in the playoffs, i'd have liked to see them go up most.

They made a fist of trying to stay up. Still think they'd have survived had they not thrown away that game against Forest.... probably would have sent Forest down.

In truth 4 teams deserved to go down last season.

Still gutted though, I thought we'd win the league the next season so wasn't that annoyed at the time just felt low for a few days

My view was that was our best chance for a generation and that hasn’t changed. Mostly because Hamer and Gyokeres are the best midfielder and striker we’ve had since 2001, and we got them both in the same team. They were also probably the best players in the league for their position.
