Message to Sky Blues fans from Manager Tony Mowbray
Dear supporter,
With just two games remaining in League One, our destiny is very much in our own hands.
Survival in this division cannot be considered success for a club of the size and history of Coventry City, but it’s certainly the first step in being able to take things forward here.
We’re not safe yet, however, despite a good point away at Bristol City at the weekend, but we can make certain by winning our final home game against Crewe Alexandra on Saturday.
I’m really pleased that the club has cut ticket prices to £10 for adults and £5 for concessions and kids for Saturday’s game because I am a big believer in the part supporters play in a team’s success.
In our recent home draw against Oldham, the crowd wasn’t huge but the fans who were in made a real difference and, I believe, helped the team keep going right to the end which resulted in an equaliser in injury time.
It was the best atmosphere I’ve experienced during my brief time here and gave me a real taste of what it could be like if the ground was anywhere near full.
So it would be great if we could get even more supporters inside the Ricoh on Saturday for the final home game of the season and to enjoy that level of backing again.
My remit when I arrived was to ensure we stayed in this division and it would be great to achieve that together this weekend.
This is your club and you can play an important role on Saturday – we would love to see you there
