Ok, then protest outside the Canadian embassy or Australian embassy. It's besides the point. I'm saying inconveniencing me is completely pointless and fucking annoying. And it ain't gonna save the planet. That’s the thing. It depends on your measuring tape. By land mass or per capita neither China or India are the world’s biggest polluters or anywhere near. Per capita we’re actually over twice as polluting as India. And we’re one of the better western so called developed nations.
I think a martyr would make a big impactThe best thing would be if Liam was run over and killed I’d guess
I think a martyr would make a big impact
Because countries tend to be run by elitist morons like Boris and Trump who see feathering their own nests as a priority over everything else. And the better question is if it's time critical for the planet .. then WHY aren't we going to extreme measures as a collective world of nations to eradicate or slow the process already ?
Why are ordinary people worrying about it more than global leaders ?
We plan to do this by 2040 2050 doesn't scream URGENT , when some on here are talking about their grandchildren feeling the effect
As I said, very cult like.Whether you agree with them or not you can't say they don't have a purpose to change something. They believe they are trying to save the planet no less.
As I said, very cult like.
A Tory voter taking the moral high ground on someone dying because an ambulance got delayed is priceless. People have actually died waiting for an ambulance because of the cuts in the ambulance service you voted for and championed.and after all he didn’t care if someone died in ambulance - think he’s brave enough - my guess is he prefers going home to his PlayStation and eating his tea
You really would have been saying the same about themIts the comparison to real protesters like suffragettes I find outlandish

That’s exactly the point. Something like 7% of all goods purchased in the uk were made in China. That in the stats will be on China’s books for carbon not ours. Same goes for every country in the world. China is the world’s factory every country in the world exports it carbon footprint to China by importing their goods.
It’s fair to say China could/should be doing more but then so should all countries and all individuals.
Now I hear thatStudent loan demos 89/90. I was there.
Poll tax demos/ riots. I was there.
March against Iraq war. I was there.
I even happened to be in London during thr 1st XR protest with the pink boat at oxford street and walked my kids up the middle of regent street to see it.....
....but here we are....breeding more, consuming more, wasting more, killing more, starving more and caring less....
....and cunts are still ruling the world...
...so after day 13 of alienating the general working, striving, struggling population.....get the fuck off the motorway and rethink your strategy because its shite.
Now I hear that
Yeah. I don’t think they’ve got the best strategy as it’s annoying people but it is getting media attention, it is getting people talking about it so it is sort of working in that respect. Should be more targeted though. Block Downing Street, no actual that wouldn’t work, he’s never fucking home. Vote for Boris get Judith Chalmers.Student loan demos 89/90. I was there.

Mmmmm I think notHe's just said the same as most of us , but added that he used to attend protests
Mmmmm I think not
He said he acknowledges it’s a legitimate protest
He feels strongly about issues enough to take time to protest
He recognises their legitimacy in protesting in the way they thought would be appropriate
You lot just said they’re twats who need a kick in who won’t make a jot of difference
I didn’t even mention children striking from school I asked Cov mark what he would support his children doing and included an example of allowing kids to take a day off to protest. It was just an exampleNo I wouldn’t - if they had applied some glue at the back of a stand at ascot and had a laugh with the officials and then went home for tea it really would t be very impactful - your comment about children striking from school was hilarious

True enoughthey surely want a kick in don’t they that’s protesting

And over 135,000 of covid because of their incompetence.A Tory voter taking the moral high ground on someone dying because an ambulance got delayed is priceless. People have actually died waiting for an ambulance because of the cuts in the ambulance service you voted for and championed.
You don’t why should they?Surely if children were passionate they’d go every day to school and refuse to travel to any holiday ever and on holiday days go to Westminster to protest?
Of course they doDo they?
It’s not just finished goods either. China make something like three quarters of the the lithium batteries in the world so your phone, electric car, rechargeable appliance etc may say made in any other country but China but the component in it with one of the biggest carbon footprints in it probably was. It’s so short sighted and lazy to just say look at China it’s all on them. Again that’s not to say China couldn’t/shouldn’t do more.Very good point. Consumption is the driver, China aren’t just pumping out noxious gases for shits & giggles, they’re doing it because of other countries’ massive demand.
It’s not a U.K. issue alone is it?
You don’t why should they?
Where’s the headline in that? Mass school walk out on the other hand.Surely if children were passionate they’d go every day to school and refuse to travel to any holiday ever and on holiday days go to Westminster to protest?
You are their role modelBecause according to you they want change? So actually show you want it rather than pretend?
The obsession with headlines and the such like is a load of old bollocks. A mass school walk out would be forgotten in a week. Without Chinese, US, and Indian cooperation, we're all pissing in the wind mate.Where’s the headline in that? Mass school walk out on the other hand.
Christ, you think people will be sat in history lessons talking about how a few annoying professional protesters sat on a motorway changed the world. Think you might be playing this up a bit mate.Prophecy here
In 30 years time these people will be in the history books for taking non violent direct action to save the world
You are their role model
They are the start of a worldwide movement not willing to wait any longerChrist, you think people will be sat in history lessons talking about how a few annoying professional protesters sat on a motorway changed the world. Think you might be playing this up a bit mate.

Before anybody tells me I'm denying anything , I'm not I'm merely asking why it's the ordinary people that worry about it more so than the governments around the world, some of which seemingly don't give a fuck... if its now time critical ?
